Where to Find the Blue Dye House

You can find the Blue Dye Merchant at the Blue Dye House, located along the Otsuki River in the western area of Oshima Coast. On the world map, the house sits south-southwest of the Weeping Sakura Graveyard and just east of the “River” label on the Otsuki River.

To reach the merchant, follow the Otsuki River inland from the Oiso Fishing Village. Once you head upriver through Orito Forest, you’ll spot a secluded dye house built near the water’s edge. A blue banner marks the entrance, signaling the final dye shop in the region.

Requirements to Access Oshima Coast

You’ll need to complete Chapter 1 of the main story to unlock travel to Oshima Coast. Once you have access, the merchant becomes available permanently, allowing you to return anytime to restock on rare dyes and customize your armor sets.

Tips for Visiting the Blue Dye Merchant

  • Collect Flowers Early: You’ll need a total of 64 Flowers to purchase every dye and weapon kit from this merchant. Explore Fox Dens, Shrines, and Bamboo Strikes to gather them quickly.
  • Combine with Black or White Dyes: Pair the Blue Dye sets with neutral tones from other merchants to create layered and unique color schemes.
  • Save Before Buying: Dyes are cosmetic only, but planning combinations before spending your Flowers helps you build cohesive sets for screenshots and NG+ runs.
  • Check Back After Updates: Future patches, such as Patch 1.009, may add new dye variants or limited-time items to regional merchants.

How to Use Dyes in Ghost of Yotei

To apply your newly purchased dyes:

  1. Visit any Merchant or Dye House in Yotei.
  2. Select your desired armor set or weapon kit.
  3. Choose the color variant you purchased, then confirm the change.

Dyes apply instantly, allowing you to preview combinations on your current outfit before committing. You can freely mix and match armor pieces for more creative looks.
