The Buried City hides many small corners that remain unmarked on your map, and Eyes on the Prize plays into that mystery. Tian Wen asks for a simple favor, yet the quest becomes surprisingly easy to overlook if you wander without preparation. This guide keeps you focused from the moment you step into the raid until you wrap up the repair work, giving you a practical path that avoids the common detours players fall into.
How to Prepare for the Eyes on the Prize?
Tian Wen’s request sounds modest. He wants you to power up a solar panel tied to his surveillance network and trusts you to handle it. The task requires three Wires, and they serve as your ticket to progress. Check your stash before heading out, since searching for spare parts mid-raid invites trouble.
Wires show up often in electrical outposts and technological ruins across ARC Raiders. If your reserves run low, scrap items such as portable radios or power converters to replenish your supply. Once you have the three Wires tucked safely into a secure pocket, you are ready for Buried City.
Finding the Secluded Roof Terrace
The quest gives you a small hint: the terrace rests west of the Southern Station and carries a splash of blue tarp. The area around the station has multiple blue tarps, which leads many players in circles. You want the building set slightly southwest of the station’s extraction route, where the structures tighten into a dense block of rooftops.

Climb through the interior stairwells or broken windows, then move up another level until the scenery shifts into a quiet terrace furnished with chairs, crates, and the unmistakable tarp. The solar panels sit on this upper platform. The space feels tucked away from the usual chaos, yet the ARC drones roaming nearby remind you that silence rarely lasts long.
Rewiring the Solar Panel
Approach the junction box beside the solar panel. As long as the three Wires sit in your inventory, the repair prompt appears. Interact with it and slot the Wires into place. The panel wakes up immediately, and Tian Wen’s network gains a new watchful eye over his hidden stashes.

Once the panel comes back online, the quest completes right there on the terrace. You do not need to extract to lock in your progress, so you’re free to roam, loot, or fight before leaving through Southern Station. Just remain alert, since the region attracts frequent traffic from both Raiders and machines.
Rewards for Your Work
When you return to Speranza later, Tian Wen hands over two weapon upgrades for your trouble:
- Extended Shotgun Mag II
- Extended Medium Mag II

Both attachments provide helpful boosts early on, especially if you rely on close or mid-range weapons during your runs.
