When I first scrolled through the list of new Passive Skills that landed with Palworld’s 1.0 update, one entry caught my attention particularly: Lavish Hospitality. While most of the new World Tree passives came loaded with a downside- a health cut here, a defense hit there, I braced myself for the same catch. Instead, I found a flat +100% boost to dropped items with absolutely nothing taken away. That kind of clean upside is rare in this update, and it convinced me to dig into exactly how this passive works and how you can actually get it onto your own Pals.

Where Lavish Hospitality Fits in 1.0’s New Passive Lineup
Version 1.0 brings us a sweet lineup for new passives across a few distinct categories, and honestly, each one comes with its own baggage. World Tree passives, for example, pair a strong bonus with a real cost:
- Twin-Edged Holy Blade: Attack +50%, Defense -30%
- God of Destruction: Attack +40%, Defense +20%, Max Health -50%
- Dimensional Leap: Movement Speed +50%, higher hunger depletion
However, Lavish Hospitality does not belong to that group. It sits in the standard Pals category alongside passives you find through normal wild catches, and it carries zero negative effect, which puts it in a small club of Rainbow Tier passives that give you a major bonus for free!

What Lavish Hospitality Actually Does?
To put things simply for you, here are the stats for Lavish Hospitality laid out simply for you:
| Tier | Positive Effect | Negative Effect |
| Rainbow Tier | Your Dropped Items +100.0% | None |
So, basically, this passive doubles the items your Pal drops. In your regular gameplay, that means meats, organs, and other materials the Pal yields. Now, remember, if you catch a Pal and suddenly walk away with two, three, or four extra meats or organs from it, there is a strong chance it is carrying Lavish Hospitality or a similar drop-boosting passive.

When I checked, Pocketpair did not attach a stat penalty or trade-off to this one, which makes it stand apart from most other high-tier passives in this update that usually demand something in return.

Lavish Hospitality vs Service-Minded
While hunting for loot passives, there is yet another passive skill that works similarly to Lavish Hospitality: Service-Minded. These two share the same core function at different power levels.
| Passive | Tier | Dropped Items Boost |
| Service-Minded | Tier +3 | +50% |
| Lavish Hospitality | Rainbow Tier | +100% |
But remember, both these skills only boost the specific Pal carrying them. Neither one touches your entire party’s drops or the loot you earn from defeating enemies in combat, so slapping either passive onto your fighter will not fatten up your battle rewards (believe me I learned the hard way).
So, How You Can Get Lavish Hospitality?
For now, I could only find three confirmed routes for landing this passive:
- Catch Wild Pals: Every Pal hides up to four random Passive Skills, and you only see them once you catch it. If you want a Pal that already rolled Lavish Hospitality, you need to catch several copies of the same species, since each catch rolls independently.
- Breed for It: Offspring Pals can inherit Passive Skills from their parents through breeding. But keep in mind that this route demands patience, since inheritance happens randomly and usually takes multiple breeding attempts before the passive locks in. This is why chain breeding gives you the most reliable shot at pinning this skill onto the exact Pal you want. While you are deep in breeding cycles, it is worth checking our guide on Can Your Pals Actually Evolve in 1.0? to see how evolution now plays a role in building stronger carriers.
- Pal Surgery Table: The 1.0 update expanded the Pal Surgery Table with a new class of disposable implants sourced from the Relic Recycler. This route lets you apply certain passives directly instead of relying purely on catch or breed RNG, giving you a more targeted way to build out your ideal Pal.

Why This Passive Deserves a Spot in Your Base
I’ll be honest here, the real payoff for this skill only shows up when you run a breed-and-butcher setup. Since Lavish Hospitality only boosts its carrier’s own drops, you get the most value by stacking it onto Pals you plan to breed in bulk and then butcher for souls and materials. The strongest version of this build stacks these four passives onto the same Pal:
- Service-Minded for an extra +50% drops
- Lavish Hospitality for the +100% drops
- Insomnia (the renamed Nocturnal passive that lets a Pal work through the night without sleeping)
- Philanthropist to speed up breeding while the line runs
Run that batch through your butchering line, and you get a steady stream of extra loot with almost no downtime. If this kind of dedicated breeding base sounds like your next to-do in the game, our guide on Palworld 1.0 Dedicated Server Setup walks through building a private world where you control the entire operation.Â
However, do not expect this passive to help your combat roster. If you are gearing up for raids or boss fights, you will get far more mileage out of passives like Idiosyncratic or Immortality, and Lavish Hospitality earns its keep strictly on your breeding side of the base.
Well, this sums up almost everything you need to know about Lavish Hospitality. You know now the upsides of this passive along with its limitations. What makes it worth your time is simply the fact that it has no bargain to it.

But before you invest hours into this setup, make sure your progress is actually protected. Our guide on Palworld How To Save: Auto-Saves And Manual Tricks covers auto-saves and manual backup tricks so a crash never makes you lose any valuable Pal of yours.
That’s it. Now, I will leave you to decide whether you wish to prioritize this skill. And I will see you in the next guide!
