NCT 127 have officially unlocked their next major era. The group is celebrating its 10th anniversary with BLINGY, their seventh full-length Korean studio album, which arrived on August 24, 2026, at 6 p.m. KST through SM Entertainment. Packed with nine tracks, the album looks back at a decade of NCT 127 while pushing their story forward with the same confidence, intensity and performance power that have defined the group.
Then came the stage fans had been waiting for. On August 25 at 8 p.m. KST, NCT 127 performed their title track “Blingy” live for the first time during the “NCT 127 THE 7TH ALBUM [BLINGY] COMEBACK LIVE PARTY.” The event took place at KINTEX 10A Hall in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, and was also streamed online through platforms including YouTube, Weverse and TikTok. For fans around the world, it was essentially the first playable look at what this new anniversary era brings to the table.
The comeback arrives almost two years after Walk, NCT 127’s previous full-length album released in 2024. With the group marking a decade since its July 2016 debut, BLINGY is more than another album drop. It plays like a checkpoint in NCT 127’s long-running journey, celebrating what the members have built while making it clear that their next chapter is already loading.

NCT 127 Turn “Blingy” Into a Full-Power Comeback Mission
The “NCT 127 THE 7TH ALBUM [BLINGY] COMEBACK LIVE PARTY” had already been announced through NCT 127’s official channels as one of the major promotional events for the album. The event did more than introduce the title track’s first performance, giving fans a chance to experience additional material from the new release as well.
“Blingy” itself is designed to hit hard from the opening move. The title track is a high-energy hip-hop song that mixes rage and dubstep elements, combining distorted synths, powerful drum beats and a chant-driven chorus. The result is aggressive, explosive and built around the kind of performance energy NCT 127 are known for.
The song’s lyrics center on an unstoppable surge of energy and a dazzling presence compared to a huge, burning flame. Confidence and pride sit at the heart of the message, alongside the determination to deliver a top-tier performance. In other words, this is not a quiet anniversary lap. NCT 127 are celebrating their decade by stepping back into the arena with something designed to make noise.
BENJMN produced “Blingy,” while Cyrus Villanueva and Ned Houston are among the track’s co-writers. The lyrics were written by Jo Yoon-kyung and WUTAN.
And then there is the choreography.
The routine has been described by the members as one of the most difficult performances NCT 127 have tackled. Taeyong also contributed to the choreography, adding another layer to a stage already built around demanding movement and high-impact performance.
Haechan explained that “Blingy” was selected from a pool of strong candidates that also included “Piñata” and “Legacy.” The deciding factor was how well “Blingy” represented the current five-member promotional lineup, both musically and onstage.
The music video takes that intensity and throws it into a completely different kind of mission.
Released alongside the album, the “Blingy” music video drops NCT 127 into a flashy, high-stakes world that feels like a stylish heist game brought to life. The members appear in sharp suits while chasing glittering “blingy” objects and treasures through urban environments.
The visual mixes heist-inspired sequences with Y2K-style details and energetic performance scenes. That combination gives the video a slick cinematic identity while keeping the group’s flashy confidence front and center. The treasure-hunting concept also adds a playful twist to the aggressive energy of the song.

The BLINGY Tracklist Loads Up Nine Different Stages
NCT 127’s seventh full-length Korean studio album contains nine tracks, moving across hip-hop, rock-infused intensity, pop and more reflective sounds.

While the sounds vary, the album’s bigger theme remains tied to NCT 127’s journey and the identity the members have created together over the past decade.
That idea is represented by the album’s central slogan, “CALL 127.” The phrase emphasizes the connection between the members and their fans as “One Team,” making the anniversary feel less like a look backward and more like a shared milestone.
“127 Million Miles” takes that connection even further. It is the only song on BLINGY featuring all seven members who recorded material for the album, including members currently serving their mandatory military duty. The song focuses on staying connected even when physical distance separates the members.
Another reflective moment comes with “I mean, It’s about time.” The track looks back across NCT 127’s past decade before shifting toward the road ahead, expressing the members’ commitment to continue moving forward together.
That forward-looking message becomes especially important because BLINGY arrives during a period of major changes for the group.

Five Members Are Carrying the Current Promotion
The current BLINGY promotional campaign is being led by Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun and Haechan.
Doyoung and Jungwoo are currently completing their mandatory military service, which has resulted in the reduced five-member promotional lineup. Seven members contributed to the album, but the promotional activities are currently centered on the five members available for the comeback.
The release also follows significant changes to NCT 127’s lineup. Mark departed from the group earlier, while Taeil had previously been removed from NCT 127. The remaining members renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment in July 2026.
At a press conference held on release day, the members spoke about returning to the intentions they had when they first started. They also explained that they had worked especially hard to deliver a strong performance despite promoting with a smaller lineup.
Taeyong specifically pointed toward the demanding nature of the title track’s performance, describing its choreography as one of the most challenging routines NCT 127 have taken on.
That makes the five-member stage even more significant. The album may contain contributions from seven members, but the live promotional chapter of BLINGY is being carried by five, giving the anniversary comeback its own distinct setup.

NCT 127’s fifth concert tour, Neo City – The Redline, is scheduled to begin with performances at Seoul’s KSPO Dome from September 18–20, 2026. That puts the group’s latest album directly on course for a major live chapter after the initial comeback promotions.
For now, “Blingy” has officially made its first jump from the album into a live performance. With its rage-and-dubstep-infused hip-hop sound, difficult choreography, flashy heist-themed music video and “One Team” message, the track gives NCT 127 a suitably explosive way to celebrate ten years on the K-pop stage.
