Forget the usual cute Halloween setup. Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo is taking fans straight into the darker side of the Wizarding World with its first-ever “Dark Arts Halloween” (闇の魔術のハロウィーン). Running from September 10 through November 8, 2026, the seasonal event will bring Death Eaters, Dementors and the Dark Mark into the attraction, with even Hogwarts’ Great Hall receiving a seriously sinister Halloween makeover.
And Tokyo is not stopping at decorations. For the first time, selected visitors can enter a special after-hours Night Tour, search darkened sets by lantern light and use “Revelio” to hunt hidden Death Eaters. There is also a Halloween dinner in the Great Hall, a live Death Eater performance, themed food and drinks, wand-combat lessons and exclusive merchandise.

Harry Potter Dark Arts Halloween Takes Over Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo
The main Dark Arts Halloween event is designed to make the Wizarding World feel noticeably more dangerous. Death Eaters will appear throughout the studio tour, while the Dark Mark will pop up in different locations.
The Forbidden Forest is also getting a darker twist, with Dementors lurking among the sets. Meanwhile, the Great Hall will be transformed with floating jack-o’-lanterns and seasonal treats, recreating the iconic Halloween feast atmosphere from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
But the most intriguing part of the event happens after the regular tour winds down.

Tokyo’s Night Tour Turns Hogwarts Into a Death Eater Hunt
The limited-time Night Tour allows groups of around 30 people to explore darkened Hogwarts sets and the Forbidden Forest by lantern light.
Death Eaters will be hidden among the exhibits. Participants must search for them and use the spell “Revelio” to reveal the concealed figures. Finding every Death Eater earns successful hunters a commemorative certificate.

Hogwarts Dinner Brings a Dark Arts Halloween Feast to the Great Hall
For fans wanting the full premium experience, Hogwarts Dinner – Dark Arts Halloween Edition will run for only three nights: October 27, 28 and 29, 2026, from 16:45 to 22:00.
The experience costs ¥55,000, tax included, and is limited to guests aged 18 and over.
The package includes Studio Tour admission, a welcome drink and a multi-course dinner featuring an amuse, starter, main course and dessert in the Great Hall beneath floating jack-o’-lanterns. Guests can also enjoy beer, wine, soft drinks and coffee or tea with dessert.
The night goes considerably beyond dinner. Guests will receive access to normally restricted areas for exclusive photographs, take part in an interactive Candy Hunt, and exchange three collected candies for a mini jack-o’-lantern cake at Platform 9¾.
There is also a live Death Eater performance and demonstration, plus a glowing original cup containing a special drink in the Potions classroom. The cup doubles as a keepsake, while additional exclusive gifts are included for participants.
General ticket sales begin September 4, 2026, at noon. Newsletter members who register by August 29 receive priority access beginning September 2.

Death Eater Demonstration Brings Film-Inspired Wand Combat to the Ministry
The Dark Arts Halloween lineup also introduces the first-of-its-kind “Death Eater Demonstration.”
Held on the Ministry of Magic set, the performance is directed and choreographed by Paul Harris, the wand combat choreographer who worked on the Harry Potter film series.
The show combines wand-combat positions inspired by the films with dance-like movements to capture the imposing presence of the Death Eaters. It will run throughout the Dark Arts Halloween period and is also included with the Hogwarts Dinner experience.

Dark Arts Halloween Food Adds Dementors, Pumpkins and the Dark Mark
The Halloween transformation extends into the attraction’s restaurants and cafés, where limited-time food and drinks draw inspiration from jack-o’-lanterns, Dementors and the Dark Mark.
Featured options include:
- Halloween Burger – ¥2,500: Purple bun, pastrami beef cheeseburger and jack-o’-lantern topping at the Food Hall.
- Forbidden Forest Pancakes / Dementor Pancakes – ¥1,500: Dementor-inspired pancakes at the Food Hall.
- Dark Mark / Mark of Darkness Milkshake – ¥950: Dark Mark-inspired drink at Frog Café.
- Halloween Mini Sundae – ¥700: Autumn chestnut ice cream at Frog Café.
- Hagrid’s Pumpkin Patch Éclair – ¥700: Available at Frog Café.
The Backlot Café will also serve Afternoon Tea for ¥7,500 and High Tea packages from ¥16,500. The themed drinks include a smoking “Dementor’s Kiss” cocktail and a Black Lake-themed mocktail.
Young Fans Can Learn Dark Arts Wand Combat
Younger witches and wizards are not being left out. An exclusive Dark Arts Wand Combat Lesson will be available to elementary and junior high school students.
Held privately on the Defence Against the Dark Arts set, the session teaches wand-combat techniques and gesture acting inspired by Defence Against the Dark Arts. Participants receive an exclusive pin badge and free wand engraving at the main shop.
Sessions are scheduled for selected Sundays and a holiday in October, with prices starting at approximately ¥5,500–¥7,000, depending on age.

Tokyo’s Harry Potter Halloween Also Adds Exclusive Merchandise
The shops will join the Dark Arts takeover with “Trick or Treat” sticker giveaways, Dark Mark bandanas for purchases over ¥15,000, and Dark Arts-themed wand engraving.
The event’s lead-in has already included the collaborative Harry Potter Dark Arts Stamp Rally, involving JR East and Seibu Railway, which ran from August 3 through September 2, 2026.
Tokyo’s event expands on similar Dark Arts seasonal features previously seen at the London Studio Tour, while introducing its own immersive experiences.
