ONE PIECE has just revealed a huge new chapter for its theatrical future. Toei Animation and the ONE PIECE production team announced two new movies at the end of ONE PIECE DAYโ26, with ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY arriving in Japanese cinemas in Summer 2027 and ONE PIECE FILM BAAD following in 2029.
The double reveal took place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, during the August 22โ23, 2026 event. These will also be the first new theatrical ONE PIECE movies since 2022โs ONE PIECE FILM RED, instantly making both projects major events for fans around the world.

ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY Will Bring the Legendary Incident to Cinemas in 2027
The first major reveal is ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY, officially announced on August 23 through the official ONE PIECE website.

The timing could hardly be bigger. The movie is scheduled for Summer 2027, the same year as the 30th anniversary of Eiichiro Odaโs ONE PIECE manga.
The manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997, putting its 30th anniversary on July 22, 2027. That makes GOD VALLEY part of one of the biggest anniversary periods in the franchise’s history.
But the anniversary is only part of the excitement.
The movie will focus on the God Valley Incident, one of the most mysterious and consequential events in ONE PIECE history. The story is currently being explored through flashbacks in the ongoing Elbaph Arc of the television anime, and the newly revealed teaser places several legendary figures connected to the incident in the spotlight.
Among them are Gol D. Roger, Monkey D. Garp, and Rocks D. Xebec.

The 2029 ONE PIECE Movie BAAD Is Still a Complete Mystery
Just when fans had time to process GOD VALLEY, the production team dropped another surprise.
ONE PIECE FILM BAAD is officially scheduled for 2029, but almost everything about the project remains secret.
Unlike GOD VALLEY, there is currently no disclosed plot for BAAD. The film is instead being positioned around another enormous franchise milestone: the 30th anniversary of the ONE PIECE television anime.
The anime first premiered on October 20, 1999, meaning 2029 will mark 30 years since Luffy and the Straw Hat crew first appeared on television.
There is also one intriguing detail attached to the mysterious project. The title logo for ONE PIECE FILM BAAD was handwritten by creator Eiichiro Oda himself.
