How to Get Crystals in Cult of the Lamb

Crystals sit in an interesting place in Cult of the Lamb. They look simple at first, yet they become an important thread in the game’s rhythm once you reach the midgame. Players reach a moment when a quiet lighthouse on the coast reveals its need for a glittering resource. That moment usually sparks the same question. How do you get Crystals in Cult of the Lamb?

This guide brings the answer into focus and keeps the journey rooted in clarity. You will see how to unlock the correct region, how to gather Crystals quickly, and why Anchordeep becomes the heart of this resource.

The First Step: Unlocking Anchordeep

Crystals only grow in one region. That region is Anchordeep, the ocean territory ruled by Kallamar. Its door rests on the far left of the crusade map. You only need nine followers to open it. The moment you hit that count, walk toward the door and the entrance will respond.

Many players assume they must clear earlier bosses first, yet Anchordeep never asks for that. Once the followers stand ready, you can begin the journey. This early unlock helps you reach the Crystal requirement for the lighthouse even if your weapons or doctrines still sit at modest levels.

Anchordeep’s Crystal Clusters

Crystals appear throughout Anchordeep. They hide in several forms:

Crystal Growths on the Ground

Anchordeep fills its rooms with stone-like clusters that contain Crystal Shards. They resemble pale, angular rock deposits. Strike them as you would strike stone or wood. They break apart quickly and often reward you with two or more Crystals. If you hold any Tarot effect that boosts resource drops, you may see four or more instead.

Environmental Breakables

Anchordeep loves clutter. Storage crates, reef debris and decorative structures often hide Crystals. Break everything while you crusade. The region rewards players who treat every room as a harvest.

Room Rewards and Chests

Clearing a fight room often grants Crystals inside the chest. Some players report that chests become their main source over time. Others find more value in raw deposits. The balance shifts from run to run, yet both remain reliable.

The Refractions Quest in Pilgrim’s Passage

Your first real motivation for collecting Crystals usually comes from Pilgrim’s Passage. After you restore the lighthouse with wood, the local cultists share a request named Refractions. They ask for twenty five Crystals. Anchordeep holds more than enough for this. A single long run normally gives you the full amount.

Return to the lighthouse once you reach the total. The cultists reward you with a new follower form inspired by their own aquatic design. It turns this simple errand into one of the more charming early-midgame moments.
