One of the best early two-handed weapons in Crimson Desert sits hidden inside an unmarked ruin, and most players walk right past it without ever knowing it exists. The Righteous Verdict delivers serious stats straight out of the gate, requires zero combat to collect, and sits in a region you can reach before the main story sends you there. Here is exactly how to find it without wasting time.

The Righteous Verdict comes already refined to Level 4 with 23 Attack, Lv 3 Critical Rate, and Lv 2 Attack Speed right from the moment you pick it up. It rivals stronger weapons like the Vessel of Dark Pursuit and the Darkbringer, which makes it exceptional value for an early-game find. On top of that, you can visit any Witch to attach up to five Abyss Gears to push it even further.

Where to Find the Righteous Verdict

The Righteous Verdict sits inside the Demeniss Ancestors’ Ruins, accessed through a hidden cave at the Nightfell Expedition Camp in the Wells Estate area of Crimson Desert. The camp sits in the southern part of Demeniss, near the northeast of the Steel Mountains and just east of the Bowsprite Cape waterfall along the southern coast.

Importantly, you do not need to progress through the main story to reach this area. So, if you want to grab this weapon early, you can head straight there as soon as you can travel to the region. Your closest fast travel point if you are still in the Hernand starting area is the secluded town of Pororin.

Step-by-Step Guide to Getting the Righteous Verdict

Step 1: Reach the Nightfell Expedition Camp

Travel to the Nightfell Expedition Camp in the southern part of Demeniss. The camp sits near the northeastern edge of the Steel Mountains. Once you arrive, you have two options for getting through:

  • Clear the camp by defeating all enemies, giving you free movement throughout.
  • Skip combat entirely by climbing the nearby cliff and gliding down into the southwestern corner of the camp to avoid most of the enemies spread around the area.

Either approach works. The cave entrance you need sits in the southwestern corner of the camp, along the base of the cliff face.

Step 2: Enter the Cave and Navigate to the Ruins

Once you locate the cave entrance in the southwestern corner, head inside. The path narrows significantly as you move forward, so take your time navigating the tight sections.

Follow the cave path until you reach an opening with an underground waterfall. At the waterfall, turn left and cross over the fallen tree trunks. Take care near the ends of the logs as they break underfoot. Continue following the path as it leads behind the waterfall.

Step 3: Pass Through the Stone Doors

After navigating behind the waterfall, head down the staircase and wait for the large stone door to open automatically as you approach. Continue forward once it opens.

You will then reach a large chamber with a gap. Use the stone pillars to jump across to the other side. If you fall into the water below, you can swim to the edge and climb up the walls as long as you have enough stamina remaining.

Step 4: Enter the Final Chamber

On the far side of the gap, approach the second large stone door and wait for it to open. Head through and continue forward into the chamber beyond.

Step 5: Pick Up the Righteous Verdict

Move toward the far end of the chamber and you will find the Righteous Verdict stabbed into an ornate stone slab on the ground, roughly three-quarters of the way toward the end of the room. Interact with it to pick it up. No enemies stand between you and the weapon at this point, so the retrieval itself is completely safe.

Tips for Getting There Faster

  • Use the cliff glide method at the camp if you want to skip all combat and go straight to the cave entrance in the southwestern corner.
  • Use movement abilities when crossing the stone pillar gap in the chamber. Any mobility skill makes this section trivial and saves time.
  • The jump-to-target feature also works well at the stone pillar section if you want to rush through without manually timing each jump.
  • Stamina management matters at the gap section. If you fall into the water, you need enough stamina to swim to the edge and climb out.

The Righteous Verdict is well worth the short detour, especially since you can grab it without a single fight if you choose the right approach. Head to the Nightfell Expedition Camp, find the cave in the southwestern corner, and follow the path all the way through to claim one of the best two-handed weapons available in the early game of Crimson Desert.
