Second-place couple Aniya Harvey and Carl Schmidt faced a very different challenge after Fiji: distance.
Aniya is based in Georgia, while Carl lives in Colorado. After spending almost every day together on the show, the pair suddenly had to maintain their connection from different states.
Still, Aniya confirmed that communication has remained constant.
“We talk to each other every day,”
She added that they FaceTime and text each other every day. The couple is also planning a trip to Nantucket, Massachusetts, giving them another chance to spend time together away from the reality-TV spotlight.

The fourth-place finalists described themselves as exclusive rather than boyfriend and girlfriend, with Kayda explaining:
“We’re just together right now, taking things slow. I mean, we’re not here to please anyone else, we’re here to please ourselves. So when the time’s right, the time’s right.”
