The Most Dangerous Games brings together two very different entertainment forces. MrBeast Appears as Himself in The Most Dangerous Games
One of the strangest details is that Donaldson isn’t merely one of the authors. A fictionalized version of MrBeast also appears in the story.
His team helped Patterson make sure the character actually sounded like him. Donaldson admitted that writing himself was awkward, so he relied on people close to him for feedback.
“Okay, Cruz, read this part and tell me is this what I would say here? Because in my brain I feel like I might be slightly cooler than that or whatever. So how about you give notes on this section?”
Donaldson explained that he wanted people around him to review those passages because he didn’t want his own perception of himself to influence the fictional character too heavily.

The partnership reportedly started with Donaldson wanting to learn from Patterson.
“We initially just hung out because I wanted to learn from him.”
Donaldson later invited Patterson to his studio, where they talked, walked around and eventually began developing the idea together.
