BTS member Jimin has reached a defining moment in his solo career. On Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, he has surpassed 6.5 billion streams generated entirely by pure solo songs. No featured artists. No collaborations. This achievement places Jimin as the first and only K pop solo artist to reach this milestone through solo work alone.

The record highlights not just scale, but consistency, reflecting how listeners engage with Jimin’s music on a global level.

A Milestone Built on Pure Solo Songs

Jimin achieved 6.5 billion Spotify streams from 22 solo tracks released without collaboration. This distinction matters. It confirms sustained listener demand driven solely by his individual artistry rather than shared visibility with other artists.

According to his Spotify profile, Jimin has released 34 total songs, including collaborative tracks. These have accumulated 7.94 billion streams, putting him close to the 8 billion mark overall. More than 80 percent of those streams come from his solo songs alone, reinforcing his strength as an independent artist.

Songs Leading the Streaming Surge

Two tracks stand at the center of this record breaking run.

The song “Who” from Jimin’s second solo album MUSE leads his solo streaming numbers. It spent 33 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, one of the most competitive charts in the global music industry. As of January 24, it has recorded 2.25798 billion streams on Spotify.

Jimin’s first solo title track “Like Crazy” from the album FACE also plays a major role. The song made history as the first by a Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100. It has now surpassed 1.479 billion streams on Spotify.

Together, these tracks anchor his streaming dominance while showing how both albums continue to perform long after release.

Album Streaming Performance Adds Context

Beyond individual songs, Jimin’s album level performance strengthens the significance of the record.

The album FACE has accumulated over 2.69 billion Spotify streams. His second album MUSE reached 3.7 billion streams in the shortest time ever for a Korean album. These figures place Jimin among the most streamed solo artists globally, not just within K pop.

Why This Record Matters

This achievement sets a new benchmark for K pop soloists. It shows that large scale streaming success can come from solo releases without collaborative support. It also reflects long term listener engagement rather than short term spikes.

For Jimin, the milestone confirms his position as a global solo artist with lasting impact across international markets.

The Bigger Picture

Jimin’s 6.5 billion solo streams represent more than a number. They show sustained trust from listeners, strong catalog performance, and continued relevance across years and releases. As his total streams approach 8 billion, the record underscores a rare level of consistency in modern streaming history.
