What the Silo Access Badge Unlocks?
The Silo Access Badge functions as your first true progression key. It grants access to a sealed maintenance passage beneath Haven, opening the route toward the Silo and the systems that support long-term progression.
Beyond simple map expansion, the badge gives you access to the Crystalliser, a machine that converts Nacre Droplets into stable crystals. These crystals persist after death and allow you to purchase Modifiers from Mel without losing resources on failure. Because of this, reaching the Silo early directly affects how flexible and forgiving the game becomes as difficulty increases.
Locating the Badge in the Early Map
You can obtain the Silo Access Badge very early, using only basic movement abilities. The location sits slightly off the natural path, which is why many players miss it.
Start from the first attunement gate near Shii. Move to the far left side of the area until you reach the elevator and Mel’s shop. The badge rests above this shop, but the game never points your camera or objectives toward it.
Take the elevator up to the second floor. Once there, step off and activate the elevator button to send it back down without riding it. When the platform reaches the lower level, drop down onto its roof.
From here, look to the right. You will see a glowing object resting on top of Mel’s shop. Jump across and interact with it to collect the Silo Access Badge.
Where and How to Use the Silo Access Badge
The usefulness of the badge becomes clear almost immediately.
Return to the starting attunement gate located beneath Shii. To the right, you will find a locked door that could not be opened earlier. With the Silo Access Badge in your inventory, the door unlocks without resistance.
Beyond it lies the maintenance passage that leads deeper into Haven and toward the Silo itself. From here, you gain access to the Crystalliser and the systems that allow your progression beyond individual runs.
