The third season of To Your Eternity will debut this October on NHK General, and the production team has unveiled a new promotional video highlighting the opening theme song and freshly announced cast members.
The trailer previews “Fumetsu no Anata” (Your Eternity), an original track composed by Perfume’s sound producer Yasutaka Nakata. The announcement follows news that Perfume will enter an indefinite hiatus in 2026, making the collaboration especially notable for fans.
New Cast Members Confirmed
The season expands its lineup with several voice actors:
- Rumi Ōkubo as Mimori, key to unraveling the enemy’s mystery
- Shizuka Itō as Izumi, Mizuha’s caring mother
- Shinichirō Miki as Itsuki, Mizuha’s father
- Tasuku Hatanaka as Hirotoshi, Mimori’s brother-in-law
Additional characters include Aya Uchida as Hanna, Fukushi Ochiai as Tamaki Kazumu, Chiharu Sawashiro as Senba Suzuhiko, Aoi Koga as Aiko, and Shouto Kashii as Kazumitsu.
Returning cast members feature Reiji Kawashima as Fushi, Kenjirō Tsuda as The Observer, Tomori Kusunoki as Mizuha, and Megumi Han as Yūki Aoki. Newcomer Yumiri Hanamori will voice Satoru, a mysterious boy.
Production and Direction
Sōta Yokote makes his directorial debut with the new season, produced by Drive and Studio Massket. Kiyoko Sayama, director of Season 2, serves as chief director. Series script supervisor Shinzō Fujita, character designer Kōji Yabuno, composer Ryo Kawasaki, and sound director Takeshi Takadera all return to continue the anime’s established tone.
Story and Background
Season 3 adapts the “This World” arc from Yoshitoki Ōima’s acclaimed manga. The anime franchise began airing in 2021, with its second season streaming globally on Crunchyroll in 2022. Crunchyroll has also confirmed streaming rights for the upcoming season.
Ōima’s To Your Eternity manga, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine since 2016, concluded in June 2025 with its 25th and final volume. The work previously won the 43rd Kodansha Manga Award for Best Shōnen and appeared on the ALA’s 2019 Great Graphic Novels for Teens list.
The emotional story, which spans generations and explores themes of life, death, reincarnation, and love, remains a cornerstone of modern manga and anime storytelling.
