Will Serfort’s journey through a world that doubts him at every turn is far from over. The Season 2 finale of Wistoria: Wand and Sword barely had time to breathe before the official website and social accounts dropped the news that Season 3 is now in production. For fans who have watched Will fight, bleed, and grind his way toward recognition across two seasons, the announcement landed like a victory lap. The story is ramping up, and the best parts are still ahead.

Is Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 3 Confirmed?

Yes. Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 3 is officially confirmed and currently in production. The announcement came directly from the anime’s official website and accounts immediately following the broadcast of Season 2’s final episode in Japan on June 28, 2026.

When Does Wistoria Season 3 Release?

No release date has been confirmed at the time of writing. However, based on the gap between Season 1 and Season 2, a window of late 2027 to early 2028 is the most realistic expectation. Season 1 first aired in July 2024, and the second season followed roughly one and a half to two years later. The same production timeline is likely for Season 3.

The manga, serialised monthly in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, currently sits around 65 chapters, with Season 2 adapting through Chapter 40. Each season adapts approximately 20 chapters, meaning there is enough material for Season 3, with the production gap allowing further chapters to accumulate before the season drops.

Where to Watch Wistoria: Wand and Sword

Both Season 1 and Season 2 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword are available to stream on Crunchyroll. Season 3 is expected to follow the same streaming arrangement, though no official confirmation has been made at this stage.

What Arc Does Season 3 Cover?

Season 2 concludes the Blooming Festival Arc, ending with Will finally joining a faction inside the tower. Season 3 will pick up immediately after and move into the Traitor Investigation Arc, followed by the Goetia Arc. Both arcs are approximately ten chapters each in the manga, which fits the established pacing of the anime adaptation.

Production Details

Tatsuya Yoshihara, who directed Season 1 and also directed Chainsaw Man: The Movie: Reze Arc, stepped into a Chief Director role for Season 2. Hideaki Nakano served as Series Director for the second season. Character designs come from Sayaka Ono, with music composed by Yuki Hayashi, best known for My Hero Academia.

About the Wistoria Series

Wistoria: Wand and Sword is based on the manga written by Fujino Omori, the same author behind Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, and illustrated by Toshi Aoi. The manga has been serialised since December 2020 and surpassed 3 million copies in circulation as of February 2026. Kodansha USA holds the English licence for the manga.

The series follows Will Serfort, a student at a magic academy who cannot use magic in a world where it defines almost everything. His sole motivation is reuniting with his childhood friend Elfaria, who has risen to become a Magia Vander, one of the world’s most powerful mages. Season 2 topped the weekly Spring 2026 anime rankings three times across its run.

Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 3 is currently in production, with no release date confirmed yet. Both existing seasons are available to stream now on Crunchyroll.
