Among the many secrets tucked into the twisting depths of Hollow Knight: Silksong, few things have stirred as much curiosity as the elusive Shardillards. These small, crystalline mimics disguise themselves as harmless ore deposits before springing to life, catching even the most careful explorers off guard. But unlike other creatures of Pharloom, their rarity and non-respawning nature make them especially important to track down—particularly if you’re aiming to complete the Hunter’s Journal and secure the coveted Hunter’s Memento.
For those scouring the lands of Pharloom, here are the confirmed Shardillard locations discovered by the community so far, along with notes on where they spawn and what to watch out for.
What Are Shardillards in Silksong?
A Shardillard looks like a glittering shard outcrop, blending seamlessly into its surroundings. Strike it, and the illusion shatters as it lashes back at you. They’re not tough foes in isolation, but their significance lies in the Journal: each Shardillard only spawns once, and they do not reliably respawn. Miss your chance, and that entry could slip through your grasp.
All Known Shardillard Locations in Silksong
As of now, players have confirmed six distinct Shardillard spawns scattered across Pharloom. Here’s where they’ve been spotted:

1. Greymoor (Hidden Wall Path)
Perhaps the trickiest of the lot, one Shardillard hides in Greymoor behind a sequence of breakable walls on the right side of the zone. This one was missed by many hunters at first, but once discovered, it completed the puzzle of all six locations.
2. Far Fields
The Shardillard here can be elusive—sometimes failing to appear until certain story or quest progress has been made. If you’ve checked the location and found nothing, don’t despair. Continue through the main narrative and return later; several players have confirmed it only spawns after pushing the story forward.
3. Deep Docks
In the metallic labyrinth of the Deep Docks, a Shardillard waits to ambush unsuspecting explorers. This one tends to be more straightforward—if you’re thorough in your search, you won’t miss it.
4. The Marrow (Two Spawns Reported)
The Marrow is unusual in that two Shardillards have been spotted here.
- One can be found just past the entrance to Shellwood.
- Another lurks to the right side of the area, near the long, dead-end stretch around the fast travel point.
If you’re sitting at five out of six and can’t seem to complete the set, chances are you’ve overlooked one of these two.

5. Sands of Karak
As you cross the desolate wastes of Karak, keep a sharp eye on the shard clusters dotting the dunes. One of them isn’t what it seems. The open terrain makes this Shardillard easier to spot, but its placement can still blend into the sandy landscape.
6. Sinner’s Road (Reported but Less Common)
Some players have reported finding a Shardillard in Sinner’s Road, though sightings appear less consistent than in other areas. Whether this is a set spawn, a variant location, or part of a randomized pool is still up for debate. It’s worth sweeping through if you’re short on your tally.
Tips for Hunting Shardillards
- Don’t delay the Journal entry. Because Shardillards don’t reliably respawn, make sure to defeat them immediately once you spot one.
- Check after act transitions. Some players only found certain Shardillards (like Far Fields) after progressing into later acts.
- Revisit The Marrow carefully. With two potential spawns, this region solves many cases of players stuck at 5/6.
- Look for breakable walls. The Greymoor Shardillard is a perfect example of how easily one can be hidden.
