Apple’s latest preview follows an earlier “in production” atmospheric teaser released around July 6, 2026, marking the 42nd anniversary of the novel’s publication. That brief teaser focused primarily on the legendary Chatsubo bar and featured the memorable line:

Unlike that atmospheric preview, the Comic-Con presentation delivered the first genuine look at the story, characters, and world.

The adaptation is created by Graham Roland (Dark Winds) and J.D. Dillard (Devotion, The Twilight Zone), with Roland serving as showrunner. Dillard directs the first three episodes, including the pilot.
Executive producers include William Gibson, who has actively participated by answering questions about the source material, reading drafts, and offering creative suggestions. Other executive producers include Drake (Aubrey Graham), Adel “Future” Nur, Jason Shrier, Zack Hayden, David Levine, Garrett Kemble, Jennifer Haley, along with additional producers associated with Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content, with DreamCrew Entertainment also involved.
