The skincare business itself had become a genuine success story before the disagreement reached television audiences.
Under the McBee Farm & Cattle Co. umbrella, Kacie Adkison created a skincare range made from 100% grass-fed beef tallow, including face cream, skin balm, baby balm and other products sold through the McBee Farms website. According to Kacie, she invested roughly $12,000 of her own money while dedicating multiple days each week to building the brand from the ground up. The products quickly found repeat customers, and the growing demand eventually required new equipment and expanded production.

Steven suggested restructuring ownership so that McBee Farms would receive a share while his then-girlfriend, Allie Eklund, would receive a 20% ownership stake in return for contributing marketing expertise, financial knowledge, social media reach and influencer experience. Steven described Allie as the “perfect person to have as a partner” and believed she could help solve operational challenges, including website management and growing production demands.
Kacie strongly disagreed.

Kacie also encouraged viewers not to judge Steven too harshly. After Episode 6 aired, she posted on Instagram Stories asking fans to “take it easy” on Steven Jr., explaining that the rest of the skincare story had yet to unfold.
