‘Tulsa King’ Season 4 Release Date Mystery: Sylvester Stallone Is Returning, but Paramount+ Is Still Holding One Big Secret

Sylvester Stallone is officially heading back to Tulsa as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, and Tulsa King Season 4 is no longer a question of whether it is happening. The real mystery now is when fans will finally get to watch it. Production has wrapped, new cast members are joining the chaos, and Paramount+ says the premiere-date announcement is coming soon.

That has sparked plenty of speculation about a September or October 2026 release. But as of August 31, 2026, one fact remains important: Paramount+ has not officially announced an exact streaming premiere date for Tulsa King Season 4.

Delayed release dates keep frustrating fans across major streaming platforms. For more, read our story on Landman Season 3 facing a longer wait than expected as its production timeline pushes into 2027.

Has Tulsa King Season 4 been renewed and when is the release date?

Yes. Paramount+ officially renewed Tulsa King for Season 4 on September 17, 2025, shortly before Season 3 premiered. The renewal also brought a major behind-the-scenes shake-up, with Terence Winter returning as head writer and executive producer. Winter created the series and served as showrunner during Season 1, while Dave Erickson, the Season 3 showrunner, exited the series.

Paramount+ has described Tulsa King as one of its biggest original successes, saying it was its No. 1 global original series in 2024 and ranked among the top 10 original series across subscription video-on-demand platforms during the fourth quarter.

However, the biggest question remains unanswered. Paramount+’s official Season 4 guide still lists the release date as TBA.

The latest update came from Paramount+ executive Jane Wiseman, EVP and Head of Originals, who told Deadline:

“We’re about to announce the premiere date for Tulsa King season 4, that one is coming out. It’s an incredible season. Sly [Stallone] is in great form in the show, and there’s going to be some surprises. But that show is continuing.”

So, is October 2026 confirmed? No. An August 29 Decider report projected an October release based on Paramount+’s scheduling patterns and other Taylor Sheridan shows, but that remains an expectation rather than an official date. Some television databases have also listed September dates, though Paramount+ itself still says TBA.

The October 10 Paley Center for Media event in New York adds another interesting clue. Audiences are scheduled to be among the first to see the Season 4 premiere episode during an advance screening, followed by a conversation with Stallone and other cast members. That confirms Paramount+ is preparing Season 4 material for public presentation by then, but it still does not confirm the streaming premiere date.

For now, the safest description is that Tulsa King Season 4 is expected in fall 2026, with Paramount+ holding back the exact date.

Tulsa King Season 4 filming is already finished

The wait is not because cameras are still rolling. Variety reported in June that Season 4 had wrapped production, while March 2026 updates from Stallone and Garrett Hedlund also confirmed filming had finished.

Hedlund, who plays Mitch Keller, posted:

“That is an Official Wrap on TULSA KING SEASON 4! What a Cast! What a Crew!!!”

Stallone also thanked the cast and crew after production ended. With principal filming reportedly completed in late March 2026, Season 4 is now in post-production and awaiting its official rollout.

Stallone remains at the centre of the story as Dwight Manfredi, the New York Mafia capo sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after spending 25 years in prison. Instead of quietly disappearing, Dwight builds his own criminal organisation and begins creating an empire.

Who is returning and who is joining Tulsa King Season 4?

The returning ensemble includes Sylvester Stallone, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Garrett Hedlund, Dana Delany, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Robert Patrick, Frank Grillo, Michael Beach, Kevin Pollak, Vincent Piazza, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Bella Heathcote, Beau Knapp and Domenick Lombardozzi.

Season 4 will also introduce new political players. Gretchen Mol joins as series regular Amanda Clark, a Tulsa politician, while Eden Lee joins in a recurring role as Maya, described as the “officious Chief of Staff for the Governor of Oklahoma.”

Their arrivals add a political dimension to Dwight’s increasingly complicated world, although Paramount+ has not released a full Season 4 plot synopsis.

Kevin Pollak has also teased a darker season ahead, describing it as:

“violence, death, and Sly”

That has naturally sparked speculation about escalating conflict and possible character deaths, though no specific deaths have been confirmed.

What happened after the explosive Season 3 ending?

Season 4 follows a dramatic third season that premiered on September 21, 2025, and concluded with its 10th episode on November 23, 2025. The season expanded Dwight’s operation while introducing the Dunmires, an influential old-money family that became a major threat.

Season 3 also introduced Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr., helping expand the wider Tulsa King universe.

Meanwhile, the future may already stretch beyond Season 4. Variety reported in June 2026 that a writers’ room for a potential Season 5 had opened, with New York being considered as a possible production location instead of Atlanta. The move has financial considerations because of New York’s expanded film and television tax incentives, while it would also make story sense given Dwight’s New York Mafia roots.

Still, Season 5 has not officially been renewed.

Wiseman has nevertheless suggested the franchise could continue, saying:

“It could. Between Tulsa and Landman, which Taylor is writing right now. Frisco, Dutton, Madison, we have a lot of business, and we’re going to be in business for time to come.”

For now, the situation is clear: Tulsa King Season 4 is officially renewed, Stallone is back, filming is complete, Terence Winter has returned behind the scenes, Gretchen Mol and Eden Lee are joining, and a Season 4 premiere screening is scheduled for October 10. But Paramount+ is still keeping the actual streaming release date under wraps.

The first three seasons of Tulsa King are currently streaming on Paramount+, which offers Essential at $8.99 per month and Premium at $13.99 per month in the U.S. Pricing and availability may vary by territory and can change.
