Tom Hardy’s MobLand is officially returning to Paramount+ with Season 2, and the Harrigan family is heading into its most dangerous chapter yet. The British crime drama premieres globally on Friday, September 18, 2026, with 10 episodes arriving weekly before the finale on November 20.
Hardy is back as Harry Da Souza, the Harrigans’ street-smart fixer, alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren. This time, rising rivals are closing in on the family’s fractured criminal empire, while tensions inside the organization threaten to make an already brutal power struggle even more explosive.
MobLand’s return adds to a packed run of genre television this fall, alongside HBO’s own expanding mystery in Lanterns, which introduced the character Antaan in its second episode.

The story picks up with Conrad and Maeve Harrigan struggling to present a united front as rivals threaten their criminal empire. Harry Da Souza once again stands between competing interests, trying to keep the organization from collapsing as violence spreads through every part of the family’s life.
“As violence spills into every corner of their lives, loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy.”
Tom Hardy returns as Harry, while Pierce Brosnan reprises Conrad Harrigan and Helen Mirren returns as Maeve Harrigan, the “unscrupulous heads” of the family. The Season 2 ensemble also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allen, Emmett J. Scanlan, Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Janet McTeer and Toby Jones. Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond are among the additions highlighted for the new season, with Janet McTeer also expected to play an important role.
Paramount+ began the Season 2 campaign in July with a teaser and first-look images before releasing the official trailer and key art on August 13. The promotional material promises an “uncivil war” inside the Harrigan organization and puts Harry in an increasingly difficult position.
Behind the scenes, reports earlier in 2026 pointed to temporary friction involving Hardy, the production and showrunner Jez Butterworth. Variety reported that a later London meeting helped resolve the situation and clear the way for Hardy’s return. The production has not publicly provided a detailed account of those reported disagreements, but Hardy’s Season 2 return is officially confirmed.
MobLand was created by Ronan Bennett, with Butterworth serving as showrunner and executive producer. Executive producers include David C. Glasser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Tom Hardy, Ivan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari and Keith Cox. The series is produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
Season 2 contains 10 episodes, all releasing weekly rather than dropping at once. The first season also contained 10 episodes and became one of Paramount+’s biggest original successes. In June 2025, Paramount+ announced that MobLand had reached 26 million viewers and ranked as the service’s No. 2 most-watched original series, behind Landman.
For now, there is no official Season 3 renewal. Reports have suggested Hardy could remain involved should the drama continue, but those reports are not confirmation. Paramount+ has officially confirmed only Season 2.
All 10 episodes of Season 1 remain available globally on Paramount+, giving viewers plenty of time to revisit the Harrigan family’s story before the new season arrives.
Paramount+’s own slate has had a strong run this year, following a similar pattern to Paramount+’s Yellowjackets, which recently confirmed a November 20 premiere date for its fourth and final season.
