John Galliano Steps Away as 2027 Met Gala Exhibition Faces Growing Backlash

Galliano announced Monday that he had decided to withdraw from the exhibition after discussions with the Met and others involved in the project.

Yom HaShoah Timing Added More Pressure to the 2027 Met Gala

The controversy became even more sensitive because the traditional first-Monday-in-May Gala date, May 3, 2027, coincides with Yom HaShoah, Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day.
