When Does the BIGBANG 2026 World Tour Start?

The tour kicks off on 21 August 2026 with the first of three consecutive nights at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. From there, the group heads to North America, Europe, and then sweeps through Asia and Oceania before wrapping in February 2027.

YG Entertainment announced the tour on 11 June 2026 via the group’s official social media channels, releasing an official poster alongside the full schedule.

Who Is on the Tour?

The 2026 World Tour reunites G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, marking BIGBANG’s first full world tour since the Last Dance tour in 2017. The announcement confirms this is a nine-year gap between world tours, which makes this one of the most anticipated K-pop live events in recent memory.

What Makes This Tour Historic?

BIGBANG originally debuted in August 2006 under YG Entertainment and spent the following two decades redefining the global reach of K-pop. The group won the inaugural Best Worldwide Act at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards, and in 2012 became the first K-pop group to chart on the Billboard 200 when their album ALIVE reached No. 150.

To date, BIGBANG hold five No. 1 positions on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. Their 2022 reunion single “Still Life” also became their first Top 10 entry on the Billboard Global 200.

Promoter AEG Presents described the tour as “one of the most significant live music events of 2026 for global fans and a historic new chapter for one of the most influential groups in modern music.”

How Did the Announcement Build Up?

BIGBANG spent the months ahead of the official announcement generating serious momentum. G-Dragon teased the tour during his solo รœbermensch run, and the group made their long-awaited Coachella debut in April 2026, delivering a 67-minute setlist pulling from every era of their career.

At the end of their Coachella weekend two set, G-Dragon told the crowd directly: “This is just the beginning. We got something special to announce for the first time right here at Coachella. BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary world tour will begin this August. It’s going to be crazy. Do not miss out.”

Forbes called them the “K-pop emperor” following Coachella, and both Billboard and the LA Times praised the performance as a return to K-pop’s golden era.

YG Entertainment added that the group is “channeling every effort to deliver the best-ever scale and level of perfection for the upcoming shows,” with stages described as spanning the past, present, and future of K-pop.
