Why Is the 2026 Lineup Particularly Significant?
This year’s lineup balances current chart dominance with legacy act power across multiple genres, and a few names stand out in particular:
BTS headlining Night 1 marks one of the group’s most significant US festival appearances following their full comeback after a three-year hiatus during which members completed mandatory military service in South Korea. The group released the Billboard 200-topping album ARIRANG earlier in 2026 and launched a global world tour, making their iHeartRadio set a high-demand moment for ARMYs across the country.
Cardi B and Snoop Dogg anchor the hip-hop representation across both nights, while Kenny Chesney and Lainey Wilson carry the country contingent. Rock fans get a strong showing with Muse, Weezer, and the Goo Goo Dolls, and pop is covered by rising star Benson Boone and global hitmaker Zara Larsson.
iHeartMedia’s chief programming officer Tom Poleman and president of entertainment enterprises John Sykes described the 2026 lineup as one that “truly reflects the incredible diversity of music today,” promising “an unmatched live and streaming experience that reaches millions of fans everywhere.”
How Does This Compare to Previous Years?
The iHeartRadio Music Festival is now in its 16th year and has consistently delivered genre-spanning lineups. The 2025 edition featured Jelly Roll, Tate McRae, Mariah Carey, Maroon 5, and Ed Sheeran, while the 2024 lineup included A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, Doja Cat, and Dua Lipa. The 2026 lineup continues that tradition of pairing legacy icons with current chart leaders.
