Before setting out, it is highly recommended to acquire the Cling Grip ability. This wall-jump skill is not just convenient—it’s essential. Half of the Pollip Hearts are unreachable without it.
What Are Pollip Hearts?
Pollip Hearts are obtained from Pollip Flowers, marked by clusters of small purple and white blossoms. Be cautious: Wood Wasps often nest near these flowers, and their buzzing presence can make the hunt more perilous. Unlike wasp hives, Pollip Flowers are one-time collectibles—once destroyed, they drop their heart and vanish.

Below are the exact routes to each of the six Pollip Hearts required for completing the quest.
Pollip Heart #1
From the central bench, head downward and left until you find an opening. Carefully descend until you see a right-hand passage. With the Drifter’s Cloak, you can glide to land softly here. Move upward into a chamber where a purple flower awaits. Strike it to claim your first Pollip Heart.
Pollip Heart #2
Unlock the Bellway on the west side of Shellwood for easier access later. Bounce across the white flowers to climb upward. Continue east until you reach a watery cavern filled with more white blooms. Jump upward to the roof of the chamber to discover the second Pollip Heart.
From here, you can also access an elevator that links this upper area directly back to the bench, making repeat visits simpler.
Pollip Heart #3
Take the elevator upward from the Shellwood bench and travel east until you reach a vast chamber. Here, you can unlock the Cling Grip ability. While you don’t need it for this heart, it is worth grabbing now.
To find the heart, move left through the chamber until you encounter another cluster of purple flowers. Break them to secure your third Pollip Heart.
Pollip Heart #4 (Requires Cling Grip)
Return to the bench and climb: up > right > up > left. Look closely at the ceiling—there’s a narrow opening only accessible with wall-jumping. Scale the walls, then move left and descend a tight passage that leads into an off-map area. A hidden Pollip Flower rests here, holding your fourth heart.
Pollip Heart #5 (Requires Cling Grip)
Starting again from the bench, move right toward Bellhart. Keep pressing east until you encounter a blocked wall. Break through it, and just before you loop back near the bench, you’ll uncover another purple flower nestled into the floor. Destroy it for the fifth Pollip Heart.
Pollip Heart #6 (Requires Cling Grip)
From the bench, go right, descend halfway, then continue east. Along the wall, you’ll notice a climbable section. Use Cling Grip to wall-jump upward into a hidden chamber where the final Pollip Flower—and your sixth Pollip Heart—awaits.
Reward for Completing the Rite of the Pollip Quest
Once all six Pollip Hearts are collected, return to Greyroot to finish the quest. Your reward is the Pollip Pouch, a powerful tool that infuses Hornet’s equipment with venom. This toxic enhancement causes your tools to deal lingering damage over time—perfect for wearing down tougher foes.
