Nike x ONE PIECE Air Max Plus Collection Brings Devil Fruits to Life With Three Lore-Loaded Sneakers

One Piece x Nike collaboration release schedule graphic listing global pop-up locations and dates.

Nike is taking ONE PIECE fandom straight from the Grand Line to the streets with a huge new collaboration inspired by Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga and anime franchise. Announced on August 23, 2026, the Nike x ONE PIECE collection turns three iconic Devil Fruits into specially designed Air Max Plus sneakers, while also expanding the crossover with a full lineup of ONE PIECE-themed apparel.

This is way more than a character-logo crossover. Nike is building the sneakers around the actual mythology of ONE PIECE, spotlighting the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi and Mera Mera no Mi. Each fruit gets its own Air Max Plus treatment, complete with exclusive TPU textures and patterns designed around the fruit’s appearance and abilities. Every pair also features a Nike-branded interpretation of the ONE PIECE Jolly Roger emblem on the tongue.

For fans, the result feels almost like unlocking a real-world Devil Fruit item. The collection brings together Nike’s Air Max Plus silhouette and some of ONE PIECE’s most recognizable lore, with staggered releases, exclusive retailers and regional launches making the upcoming sneaker hunt feel like its own side quest.

More Grand Line Lore: The franchise’s universe just got bigger with two new theatrical projects officially locked in for the coming years. For more, dive into our post on the ONE PIECE GOD VALLEY and BAAD movie announcements.

Three Devil Fruits, Three Completely Different Air Max Plus Designs

The three sneakers are built around some of the most recognizable Devil Fruits in the ONE PIECE universe.

The Gomu Gomu no Mi, also known as the Gum-Gum Fruit and associated with protagonist Monkey D. Luffy, will receive the widest release of the three. The Ope Ope no Mi, or Op-Op Fruit, is associated with Trafalgar D. Water Law, while the Mera Mera no Mi, known as the Flame-Flame Fruit, was originally associated with Portgas D. Ace before later being wielded by Sabo.

Nike’s approach goes beyond simply throwing familiar artwork onto an existing sneaker. The uppers of all three Air Max Plus models have been reworked with exclusive TPU textures and patterns intended to reflect the individual Devil Fruits and their abilities.

Nike’s Nick Remlinger, GM of Energy Gaming, explained the creative direction behind the collaboration:

“We were inspired by the superhuman abilities that are unleashed when One Piece characters eat the Devil Fruits, much like the feeling an athlete has when they put on a pair of Nikes. We then started reimagining the beloved Air Max Plus in a way that fans of the silhouette have never seen before.”

Remlinger also teased more surprises ahead, saying:

“As we bring this collection to life, there are even more surprises coming — just like any great adventure.”

That makes the Devil Fruits the real stars of the footwear lineup. Instead of depending entirely on character graphics, Nike has used ONE PIECE mythology as the foundation for the sneaker designs.

The Gomu Gomu no Mi Air Max Plus Gets the Biggest Rollout

The Gomu Gomu no Mi Air Max Plus will have the broadest availability.

SNKRS Pre-Order begins in the United States, Japan and select European countries on September 25, 2026. Standard SNKRS launches in China, Mexico and Australia are also scheduled for September 25, while Korea will receive the sneaker through Exclusive Access.

Select Gomu Gomu apparel pieces will also launch globally on SNKRS that same day.

The Mera Mera no Mi Sneaker Is Much Harder to Find

The Mera Mera no Mi Air Max Plus has a more limited rollout.

Nike states that the sneaker will be available only through select retailers in Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Mexico beginning September 12. Australia will receive the shoe during October 16–18.

That makes the Flame-Flame Fruit design one of the more limited pieces in the collection.

The Ope Ope no Mi Heads to Select Retailers

Fans looking for the Ope Ope no Mi Air Max Plus will need to check select retailers in the United States and Europe on September 19.

With each Devil Fruit receiving different regional availability, there is no single worldwide sneaker-drop schedule for the entire footwear lineup.

The Nike x ONE PIECE Collection Goes Way Beyond Sneakers

The crossover does not stop with the Air Max Plus.

Nike is also releasing apparel inspired by recognizable ONE PIECE elements while incorporating details from Nike’s own archive. The collection includes Air Max Plus-inspired jerseys and caps, along with T-shirts that reinterpret manga panels through the visual language of classic Nike advertisements.

Another standout design takes inspiration from the Jolly Roger drawn by Luffy himself, described as “a mark of a promise.”

There is also a vest built around one of the most infamous consequences of consuming a Devil Fruit. Those who eat one become “hated by the sea” and are unable to swim.

The apparel lineup is tied together by a Nike and ONE PIECE collaboration logo, keeping the pieces connected to both sides of the crossover.

Nike x ONE PIECE Release Dates and Regional Availability

The rollout is being spread across several regions, with pop-ups, retail activations and staggered product launches leading into the broader release.

A three-day pop-up called “Dr. B’s Research Lab” will take over THE HALL, Harajuku Quest B1F in Harajuku, Tokyo, from September 4 through September 6, 2026.

Entry and purchases for the pop-up are determined through a lottery, and registration closed on August 26.

Additional retail experiences and selected launches are planned for Hong Kong, Jakarta, Mexico City, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, Umeda in Osaka, Amsterdam, Dallas, London, Madrid, Milan, San Diego, Stockholm and Washington, D.C.

The important part for collectors: the three Air Max Plus models will not all be available in every location at the same time.

How Much Will the ONE PIECE Devil Fruit Sneakers Cost?

The Air Max Plus sneakers are priced at approximately $180 USD.

For Japan, the listed price is ¥27,500 including tax.

Apparel pricing depends on the individual item. Certain jerseys are listed around ¥14,300, while the vest carries a higher price point.

Because pricing and availability can vary by market, buyers should check Nike’s regional launch information before planning a purchase.

This Collaboration Is Going Full Lore Mode

Nike is positioning the collection as a celebration of the courage, creativity and ambition that have defined ONE PIECE for years. The brand is also highlighting the franchise’s long-running cultural influence and its connection to the world of sport.

The biggest flex here is the way Nike is using ONE PIECE mythology as the creative foundation rather than simply covering familiar sneakers with characters and logos. The Devil Fruits themselves drive the Air Max Plus designs, while exclusive construction details and deeper lore references give the collection a stronger connection to the franchise.

For ONE PIECE fans, that makes the upcoming release feel less like a standard fashion collaboration and more like a real-world treasure hunt. Three Devil Fruits have been transformed into sneakers, their availability is split across different regions, and several pieces arrive through staggered retail launches.

The Grand Line has officially entered sneaker culture—and this Devil Fruit hunt starts in September.
