Leaves are one of the most commonly needed crafting materials in Pokémon Pokopia, introduced early in the game and used throughout your adventure to build furniture and habitats for your Pokémon. The good news is that Leaves are easy to find and even easier to farm once you know where to look. Here are all the known methods to collect them so far.

All Ways to Get Leaves in Pokémon Pokopia

There are four confirmed methods for collecting Leaves in Pokémon Pokopia. Each one is straightforward, and at least one of these opportunities is almost always within reach wherever you are on the map.

1. Pull Up Weeds

The quickest and most passive way to collect Leaves is to pull up weeds as you explore. Weeds appear as small three-leaf plants sprouting from green grass patches around the world. Simply walk up to one and interact with it to pull it from the ground and receive a Leaf. Weeds serve no other purpose in the game, so clearing them out whenever you spot them is a useful habit that steadily builds up your Leaf supply over time.

2. Use the Cut Ability on Grass Patches

You can use the Cut ability on natural patches of grass to collect Leaves. Walk up to a grass patch and use Cut to slash through it, which will drop Leaves for you to pick up. Grass patches are extremely common across every area of the map, so this method is reliable whenever you need a quick top-up.

To pick up multiple resources at once, press and hold Y to hoover them all up quickly rather than collecting them one by one.

3. Farm Leaves Using Leafage and Cut (Best Method)

If you need Leaves in larger quantities, the most efficient farming method combines two abilities back to back. Here is how it works:

  1. Find a rehydrated tile or rehydrate a dry ground tile using Water Gun.
  2. Use the Leafage ability on the rehydrated tile to grow a fresh grass patch.
  3. Use the Cut ability to slash through the newly grown grass and collect the Leaves it drops.
  4. Repeat by using Leafage again on the same tile to regrow the grass.

This loop gives you a consistent and fast way to farm Leaves on demand without needing to walk around searching for natural grass patches or weeds.

4. Headbutt or Cut Down Trees

Trees are another reliable source of Leaves in Pokémon Pokopia. There are two ways to get Leaves from a tree:

  • Headbutt: Walk up to a tree and press A when close enough to headbutt it. Each headbutt drops any fruit the tree is bearing along with a Leaf. This method lets you keep the tree intact and return to it repeatedly.
  • Cut the tree down: Using the Cut ability on a tree will drop Logs, Leaves, and any fruit the tree was growing at the time. However, cutting a tree down removes it permanently, so use this method when you do not need the tree for other purposes.

5. Receive Leaves as Pokémon Gifts

Occasionally, Pokémon living in your habitats will offer you gifts as a thank you for improving their environment. Leaves can appear among these gifts. However, because this method depends entirely on random chance, it is not something to rely on as a consistent farming strategy. Treat any Leaves you receive this way as a welcome bonus rather than a planned source.

  • Leaves are a common crafting material used to build furniture and Pokémon habitats throughout Pokémon Pokopia.
  • The fastest farming method is using the Leafage ability to grow grass on a rehydrated tile, then using Cut to harvest it, and repeating the loop.
  • You can also collect Leaves by pulling up weeds, cutting natural grass patches, headbutting trees, or cutting trees down entirely.
  • Press and hold Y to collect multiple dropped resources at once.
  • Pokémon may occasionally gift you Leaves, however this is random and not a reliable primary source.
  • Leaves are abundant across every area of the map, so you are rarely far from a quick collection opportunity during normal exploration.
