Alix Earle has finally said what she had largely kept to herself for months. In the season finale of Netflix’s Earle Meets World, the influencer opened up about her bitter professional fallout with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper, describing a relationship that allegedly shifted from admiration and excitement to frustration, disappointment and fear.
Earle said she felt “scared of” and “intimidated” by Cooper, while also accusing the Unwell founder of manipulating and mistreating her professionally. The finale, released September 4, 2026, also revisited Earle’s Call Her Daddy appearance, her discomfort with some of the interview’s sexual questions, and the emotional effect of discussing her family’s complicated history publicly.

Alix Earle and Alex Cooper Feud: How the Unwell Partnership Fell Apart
For a while, Earle and Cooper looked like one of the biggest professional pairings in the creator economy.
Earle joined Cooper’s Unwell Network in 2023 with her Hot Mess podcast, becoming one of the early creators connected to the media company. At the time, the partnership appeared to make sense: Earle was rapidly building her profile, while Unwell was developing a network around major internet personalities and podcasts.
But the relationship eventually changed.
Rumors of tension began circulating after Hot Mess left Unwell in 2025. According to PEOPLE, Earle said she learned about the end of her relationship with the company through media reports.
The situation remained largely behind the scenes until April 2026, when Cooper publicly addressed Earle in a TikTok.
According to Netflix’s recap of the dispute, Cooper accused Earle of creating a “fake narrative” around their working relationship. Netflix says Cooper’s video went on to receive more than 30 million views.
Earle did not respond with a lengthy public statement at the time.
Instead, her immediate reaction was remarkably short:
“Okay on it!!”
That brief response left much of the story unanswered.
Months later, however, Earle’s Netflix series gave viewers a much closer look at what she says was happening behind the scenes.

Why Alix Earle Says She Was “Scared of” Alex Cooper
The biggest revelation from the Earle Meets World finale was not simply that Earle and Cooper had fallen out.
It was why Earle says she chose not to fight back publicly.
While explaining the situation to her family, Earle said she believed she was being pushed into responding publicly.
“I feel like I’m being baited into saying something,” Earle said.
Then came the admission that gave the feud an entirely different emotional dimension.
“I’m scared of Alex Cooper.”
Earle also described herself as “intimidated” by Cooper, pointing to Cooper’s position and influence as part of the reason she had been reluctant to engage in a public back-and-forth.
Her comments are her personal account of the dispute and should not be interpreted as an independently established finding about Cooper’s conduct.

Alix Earle Says Her Relationship With Unwell Went From Admiration to Feeling “Used”
Earle’s account of the relationship becomes more emotional as the finale progresses.
She told her family that her initial perception of Cooper was completely different from how she ultimately felt about their professional relationship.
Earle said she had admired Cooper intensely and viewed her as someone she could learn from while building her own career.
“From the start, I didn’t realize things were going wrong because I was obsessed with her. I was like, ‘This is my idol. I’m so happy to work with her,’ ” Alix told her family in one scene. “And then [I] constantly felt taken advantage of and used and mistreated and manipulated.”
According to Earle, the problems with Unwell became increasingly frequent.
She also claimed that Hot Mess did not receive the level of production resources she expected from the network.
Her father, TJ Earle, supported her account during the episode, arguing that his daughter had not received the same level of production assistance that he believed other Unwell podcasts received.
Earle said she eventually felt unsupported while also experiencing pressure within the professional relationship.
The discussion became particularly emotional when she reflected on how much trust she had placed in Cooper at the beginning.
“What I was thinking — which makes me so sad for me at the time — is I was so happy. I trusted her so much, and all she did was just s— on it.”
These are Earle’s allegations and personal recollections. They do not independently establish that Cooper or Unwell engaged in the conduct she described.

Alix Earle Revisits Her Call Her Daddy Interview and Sexual Questions
The feud also reopened another uncomfortable chapter in Earle’s relationship with Cooper: her appearance on Call Her Daddy.
Earle appeared on the podcast in January 2025, where she participated in a “Truth or Drink” segment with Cooper. The format involved drinking while discussing personal and sexual subjects.
In the Netflix finale, Earle said she was uncomfortable with some of the questions asked during the recording.
“We’re filming her podcast, and she’s having us drink before and then asking me really sexual questions I wasn’t comfortable with. But then I’m also answering ‘cause I’m drunk,” Alix claimed during the episode, speaking to her parents and sister.
Earle said she later asked for parts of the interview to be removed. According to her account, Cooper considered the material “funny.”
Looking back, Earle said she questioned whether some of those moments should have remained online permanently.
“I’m imagining myself in her shoes, to take someone in college, who’s young, impressionable, you know looks up to you, and then ask them these raunchy questions. It’s stuff that I didn’t necessarily want to live on the internet forever.”
The original Call Her Daddy episode featuring Earle was released in 2023 and covered her personal life, relationships, family and other subjects. The published interview included the “Truth or Drink” segment.
Earle’s comments in Earle Meets World represent her retrospective account of that experience.

Ashley Dupré Reveals How Alix Earle’s Interview Affected the Family
The fallout was not limited to Earle’s own experience.
During the Netflix series, Earle also acknowledged that her Call Her Daddy appearance had consequences for members of her family because she discussed aspects of their complicated history.
Her stepmother, Ashley Dupré, became publicly known in connection with the 2008 scandal involving former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer. Dupré later married Earle’s father, TJ Earle, in 2013.
In Earle Meets World, Dupré discussed how painful it was to hear Earle revisit parts of her past during the podcast.
“When Alix went on Call Her Daddy and brought up, you know, all of the things from my past, I felt like I lost my spark. Because for 17 years I’ve literally … worked so hard on my life, about doing the right thing by my stepkids, by my kids.”
Dupré said the pain was not simply about what Earle said. She explained that she was particularly hurt by what she believed Earle had left out of the discussion.
That revelation added another layer to an already complicated story, showing that Earle’s relationship with Cooper had become intertwined with sensitive issues involving her family.

Alix Earle Drafts a Blunt Message for Alex Cooper
Then came the moment that may become the most talked-about scene from the entire finale.
Rather than immediately posting online, Earle considered sending Cooper a private message.
She read the proposed message aloud to her father and stepmother.
The opening was direct:
“I wanted to write you directly and let you know I don’t like you. I’m not gonna fall for your bait of getting into a back-and-forth online, and I don’t think you want that either,”
Earle then escalated the message, accusing Cooper of manipulation and toxic behavior.
“You are manipulative and toxic. Go ahead and say ‘it’s just a business’ all you want, but the way you approach business is disgusting. You choose money over morals. You took advantage of me at a young age in a new industry I knew nothing about,” Alix continued. “You are full of false promises, and Unwell was a continuation of that. We had a call where you threatened me to not go to war with you, because you know how sick and twisted you are.”
Earle ended the proposed message by saying she would no longer allow herself to feel trapped or intimidated.
“Go ahead, share this, use it against me, but you will no longer scare or trap me. You’re right, I may be petty, but I’m not malicious. If there’s one thing I learned from doing business with you, it’s to never do business with anyone like you.”
Her father and stepmother supported her as she considered sending the message.
But there is one crucial detail: the episode does not establish that Earle actually sent it to Cooper.
That distinction matters.
The draft contains Earle’s strongest accusations, including claims involving manipulation, intimidation, threats and unethical business practices. Those statements remain allegations made by Earle rather than independently established facts.
Has Alex Cooper Responded to Alix Earle’s Latest Allegations?
For now, the feud remains without a clear resolution.
Cooper was previously the person who brought the dispute into the public spotlight when she addressed Earle in her April 2026 TikTok. Netflix’s account of the feud says Cooper accused Earle of creating a “fake narrative” about their working relationship.
PEOPLE also previously reported that Cooper publicly challenged Earle over what she characterized as “fake drama.”
After the Earle Meets World finale revealed Earle’s side in greater detail, PEOPLE reported that it reached out to Cooper for comment.
At the time of publication, no response from Cooper was included in that report.
That leaves two sharply different accounts of the professional relationship, with Earle now having publicly detailed her perspective after months of largely remaining silent.

What the Earle Meets World Finale Reveals About the Alex Cooper Feud
The finale of Earle Meets World is the most extensive public explanation Earle has provided about her falling-out with Cooper.
Her story begins with admiration. She said she viewed Cooper as an idol and was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her. But according to Earle, that admiration gradually turned into a feeling of being unsupported, used, mistreated and intimidated.
She also revisited an interview that she says made her uncomfortable, discussed the effect of her public comments on her family and revealed a confrontational message she considered sending to Cooper.
Yet the finale does not independently prove Earle’s allegations against Cooper or Unwell.
It also does not provide a definitive ending to the dispute.
Instead, it puts Earle’s version of events firmly on the record while leaving Cooper’s response to these latest allegations unresolved.
The family dimension makes the story even more complicated. What began as a professional creator-network relationship eventually became connected to Earle’s public image, her Call Her Daddy appearance and sensitive aspects of her family’s history.
For viewers in the US and UK who have followed the feud online, the Netflix finale offers something they had not previously received from Earle: an extended explanation of why she stayed quiet.
And perhaps the most revealing part is not the drafted message itself.
It is Earle’s admission that, for months, she says she was too intimidated to tell her side.
All eight episodes of Earle Meets World are now streaming on Netflix.
