Is Arknights: Endfield Multiplayer?

Arknights Endfield characters Perlica and Endfield Industries staff in a high-tech control room.

If you are stepping into Arknights: Endfield with friends in mind, it helps to set expectations early. The game places strong emphasis on exploration, combat flow, and base management, but at launch, it does not support traditional multiplayer or co-op gameplay. What it does offer instead is a layered social system that hints at collaboration without shared combat.

This guide walks you through what multiplayer means in Endfield today, what systems already exist, and why players still see potential for co-op in the future.

The Current State of Multiplayer in Arknights: Endfield

At launch, Arknights: Endfield does not include multiplayer or co-op modes. You cannot fight enemies alongside other players, explore Talos-II together in real time, or share combat instances. The developers did not include any co-op elements during the official release window.

Every major gameplay pillar, including story progression, combat encounters, and boss fights, remains strictly single-player.

If you hoped to queue up with friends or tackle objectives together, the game does not support that experience at this time.

Why Endfield Still Feels Social Without Co-Op

While combat stays solo, Endfield introduces several systems that connect players indirectly. These features form a social layer rather than a multiplayer one, allowing interaction without shared sessions.

The Friend System

You can add other players through the in-game Friends List once you unlock the Protosync Menu. This becomes available after clearing the main story quest titled Valley Reboot. From there, you can view profiles and track progress without entering each other’s worlds directly.

This system acts as the foundation for Endfield’s social design.

Shared Structures and World Assistance

Endfield allows you to leave behind structures that other players can use while exploring Talos-II. These include tools that help with terrain navigation and movement.

During official livestreams, it was shown that you can glide or set up quick output ports using structures created by other players. You can also leave messages through these shared points, creating a subtle sense of presence even without real-time interaction.

This system supports cooperation in spirit rather than in execution.

Blueprint Sharing and Base Collaboration

Base building plays a central role in Endfield, especially through the AIC system. You rely on it to craft gear, consumables, and outposts.

Through the Blueprint System, you can save your entire AIC setup and share it with other players. This allows you to exchange optimized layouts and ideas without rebuilding everything from scratch.

It becomes one of the most tangible forms of collaboration in the game, especially for players who enjoy planning and efficiency.

Visiting Other Players’ Dijangs

You can also visit other players’ Dijangs, which function as personal display spaces. Here, players showcase medals, weapons, and portraits they have collected.

While these visits do not involve gameplay or shared objectives, they offer a window into how others progress and personalize their experience.

Will Arknights: Endfield Add Multiplayer Later?

There is no confirmed announcement regarding future multiplayer or co-op features. That said, the game’s structure leaves room for expansion.

The open-world design and base-building systems naturally lend themselves to potential co-op scenarios. Players often point to possibilities such as cooperative boss battles, shared base construction, or joint exploration of Talos-II.

As of now, these ideas remain speculative. The current version of the game includes no multiplayer roadmap or confirmed plans.
