Greetings, ARMY! If you are generally active on your social media, I am sure you must have come across multiple posts of famed rapper and song writer Min Yoongi running on the streets of San Franciso back in May 2026. These fan captured photos left us with a million questions. Well, no need to wonder anymore. BANGTANTV just dropped the full story, and honestly, it’s exactly the kind of humble, relatable content that makes you root for the guy even harder. Let’s get into what actually happened out there and why was Suga running in between the ARIRANG world tour.

The Vlog That Finally Answers Everything

On July 5, BANGTANTV uploaded a new vlog titled “Runner SUGA, gets a taste of San Francisco,” and it officially confirms what most of the fans for around the world including the US and UK had already pieced together. This ties directly back to a moment fans caught back in May, when Suga was seen completing a run in San Francisco right around his Stanford concert dates. Now, the full footage shows exactly how that day went down:

Going In With The Right Mindset

Before the race even started, Suga kept things simple. “Let’s just stick to our own pace,” he said, setting the tone for the whole run. No pressure, no trying to be a hero, just running his own race, literally.

He opened with a steady rhythm of about 5 minutes per kilometer, which honestly sounds like a solid, sustainable pace for anyone tackling 12 kilometers. However, steady doesn’t mean easy, and San Francisco’s hills clearly had other plans for him.

The Camera Angle That Warmed Armies’ Hearts

What truly steals the show in this vlog is Sugaโ€™s clever use of a head/hat-mounted camera angle, which captures his face from a slightly upward, close-up perspective that makes him look what Armies like to call โ€œLil’ Meow Meowโ€. Fans instantly fell for the โ€œmoja camโ€ (hat cam)

When The Hills Hit Back

Here’s where things got real. Suga ran into some genuinely steep uphill sections partway through the race, and even while visibly out of breath, he kept pushing forward step by step. No stopping, no giving up, just grinding through it one stride at a time.

Anyone who has ever run somewhere hilly knows exactly that feeling. It’s one thing to plan a steady pace on paper, it’s a completely different thing to hold onto that plan once gravity starts working against you.

The Finish Line And The Honesty That Came With It

Suga crossed the finish line in about 1 hour and 4 minutes for the full 12km. However, what makes this story land so well isn’t just the finish time, it’s what he said right after.

“When I hit the uphill, I thought, ‘Why am I doing this?’” he admitted, which is basically the most relatable thing a runner can say mid-race. But despite that very real moment of doubt, he pushed through anyway, and afterward he shared genuine pride in finishing, adding that he felt so much better once it was all done.

Honestly, Sugaโ€™s way of blowing off some steam in middle of a hectic world tour is quiet inspiring. It highlights the value of making the best out of our free time and pushing our boundaries.

This sums up the mystery behind Sugaโ€™s appearance in the streets of San Francisco. I will be back with more interesting K-Pop news soon. Let me know in the comments which K-Pop Group you want me to cover more. Till then, Dashi Run Run Run!
