Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen continues to take shape, and its next major zone, Badia de Cara, offers a glimpse into the game’s evolving world design. Scheduled to release this spring alongside the Combat and Progression Update, this zone introduces a striking mix of jungle-covered islands and dangerous underwater depths. As development moves from planning into full environment construction, Visionary Realms has begun sharing what awaits you beyond the horizon.

A Zone Built From Lore to Landscape

Badia de Cara, translated as the Bay of Faces, represents a full-scale zone built from the ground up. The team began by defining the history and purpose of the region, then moved into visual identity and asset creation. Development has now reached the environment-building stage, where terrain, landmarks, and navigational flow take form.

Every element you see so far remains a work in progress. The current visuals focus on structure and scale, with later passes planned to refine detail and atmosphere. Once complete, the zone will host NPCs, creatures, and interactive spaces that bring its stories to life.

Kosa Ull and the Heart of the Bay

At the center of Badia de Cara stands Kosa Ull, the largest island in the region and a key destination for adventurers. Its shores feature jagged obsidian formations that give the island a stark and powerful silhouette. These rocks may dominate the early visuals, but they will not define the final experience.

Developers are actively adding dense jungle elements such as towering trees, layered ground cover, hanging vines, and thick canopy growth. The goal is a vibrant island that balances raw volcanic stone with lush greenery. As you explore Kosa Ull, you will also need to stay alert. Fierce Mawnok guard its shores, turning first landfall into a test of awareness and preparation.

Secrets Beneath the Surface

Badia de Cara extends far beyond what you can see above water. Several underwater points of interest will reward players who dare to dive below the waves. One such location, the Groaning Deep, showcases the first stage of underwater terrain development.

This initial pass focuses on large rock formations and depth contours. A second detailing phase will introduce kelp forests, coral clusters, and environmental color that adds life to the ocean floor. These depths hold beauty, but they also hold danger. Hostile sea creatures patrol these waters, including aggressive predators like barracuda that turn exploration into a calculated risk.

Mystery as a Design Philosophy

Each section of Badia de Cara carries its own identity, history, and hidden purpose. From shadowed caves carved into Kosa Ull to submerged ruins waiting in the deep, the zone encourages curiosity without holding your hand. You choose how far to push forward, whether that means navigating dense jungle paths or descending into dark waters in search of lost treasures.

The design emphasizes discovery through observation and movement rather than overt direction. That approach aligns closely with Pantheon’s broader philosophy of meaningful exploration and earned knowledge.

Looking Toward Spring Release

Badia de Cara remains in active development, with significant work still ahead. Beyond visual polish, the team continues to populate the zone with encounters, lore hooks, and progression opportunities. Despite the remaining tasks, development remains on schedule.

When the zone launches this spring, it will arrive alongside the Combat and Progression Update, opening the bay to adventurers ready to test their skill on land and sea alike. For you, this means a new chapter of exploration that blends danger, mystery, and carefully crafted environments into a single destination.
