Deep Discount Section: Major Titles Expected at Steep Prices
Beyond the trailer-featured titles, the Deep Discount section of the sale is expected to include heavily reduced prices on some of Steam’s most popular blockbusters:
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Resident Evil 3 Remake
- Fallout: New Vegas
- Star Wars: Jedi Survivor
- Vampyr
- Metro: Last Light Redux
- Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
These titles often see discounts of 50% or more during major seasonal sales, with older entries sometimes reaching 75% to 90% off.
Publisher and Studio Deals Running Alongside the Sale
Several studios have also lined up their own discounts to run during the Spring Sale window. The following titles from various publishers are confirmed to be included:
Hotel Architect, KARMA, Kingdom Rush Vengeance, Kingdom Rush Alliance, Kingdom Rush Frontiers, Kingdom Rush Origins, Pirate Kings, Jusant, Koira, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, and Gerda: A Flame in Winter.
Additionally, THQ Nordic is running a Spring Sale from March 19 through March 26 that overlaps entirely with Valve’s sale window, covering hundreds of games and DLCs across genres including platformers, action, RPGs, strategy, racing, and family entertainment. THQ Nordic also ran a pre-spring sale from March 12 through March 19, meaning their promotional window spans a full two weeks.
Will New 2026 Games Be Discounted?
Generally, brand new releases do not receive meaningful discounts during seasonal sales, especially on or near their launch day. Major 2026 titles such as Crimson Desert and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, both of which launched on Steam on March 19, are unlikely to see any price reductions during the Spring Sale. Similarly, Resident Evil Requiem, a recent AAA release, is not expected to receive a discount either.
However, games released earlier in 2026 or in late 2025 may see smaller discounts, typically in the range of 5% to 30%.
How to Make the Most of the Steam Spring Sale
Here are a few practical tips to help you get the best value from the sale:
- Add games to your wishlist before or during the sale. Steam will automatically send you an email notification when any wishlisted game receives a price drop, whether during this sale, a later seasonal event, or a random mid-year promotion
- Check the Deep Discount section for the steepest cuts on older but still popular titles
- Browse publisher-specific sales running alongside the main event, as some studios offer extra bundle deals or DLC discounts that are not always highlighted on the main sale page
- Take your time: with no flash deals to chase, you have the full week to research and decide
