PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have another reason to jump back into the Game Catalog, and this one is seriously worth noticing. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is currently available through PlayStation Plus, putting Warhorse Studios’ massive medieval RPG in reach of subscribers while another catalog rotation is already looming.

But there is a catch for anyone with a growing PlayStation backlog: eight games are currently listed for removal on October 20, 2026, including major names such as Silent Hill 2 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

So, while there are plenty of games to start right now, the clock is also ticking on several adventures already sitting inside the catalog.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Is the Big Medieval RPG Addition

If you have been waiting for an excuse to step into a brutally detailed medieval world, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is currently one of the biggest talking points around PlayStation Plus.

Developed by Czech studio Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver, the open-world RPG launched in 2025 and continues the series’ obsession with creating a historically grounded medieval experience.

Sony officially added Kingdom Come: Deliverance II to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog on August 18, 2026. PlayStation described the game as an immersive medieval world where the player’s decisions can affect what happens around them.

And honestly, the tiny systems are where the game gets particularly interesting.

Crime and stolen goods are not simply treated like disposable video-game loot. NPCs and merchants can recognize equipment connected to theft, meaning players have to think about what they steal and where they use it.

That level of detail has been getting attention from PlayStation Plus players on Reddit.

One commenter highlighted the game’s economic and social systems:

“If you give money to NPCs, they will spend it on better clothes and gear. Game is full of amazing little details like that.”

Another player pointed toward an even more specific interaction involving stolen clothing:

“I believe they’ll also notice if you’re wearing stolen clothes in the same area you stole them from.”

A third subscriber summed up the overall experience:

“Honestly one of the most immersive games I’ve played for all the details like this.”

These comments came from a recent PlayStation Plus Reddit discussion about the game’s smaller environmental and NPC interactions. The discussion also highlighted situations in which merchants can recognize their own stolen property and cases where NPC behavior can change based on the player’s actions.

Basically, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the kind of RPG where even the stuff you might normally ignore can come back to matter.

The PlayStation Store rating also gives some idea of how players are responding. At the time of checking, the Indian PlayStation Store listed the game at 4.57 out of 5 from roughly 48,000 ratings. That figure is a live regional Store figure rather than a permanent worldwide review count, since the U.S. and other regional PlayStation Stores can display different rating totals.

The Indian Store currently lists the standalone game for Rs 3,999, while also showing it as included with PlayStation Plus Extra.

Desperados III Is Also Waiting in the Extra Catalog

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is not the only game currently available to Extra subscribers.

Desperados III is also listed in the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog.

Released in 2020, the real-time tactics game from Mimimi Games takes players into a Wild West setting, following John Cooper and his companions through tactical missions.

PlayStation’s official product page currently lists Desperados III as included with PlayStation Plus Extra. It can also be purchased separately, with the U.S. PlayStation Store listing its regular price at $39.99 and offering a free demo.

There is an important distinction here, though.

While the game is currently available through the Extra catalog, Sony’s current 2026 PlayStation Plus announcements do not identify Desperados III as one of the headline August or September 2026 additions.

So it is more accurate to say that Desperados III is currently available in the Extra catalog, rather than calling it a newly added September game.

PlayStation also notes that Game Catalog availability can change over time and can differ depending on region.

Eight PlayStation Plus Games Are Listed to Leave on October 20

Now for the part subscribers probably don’t want to see.

Current regional PlayStation Store listings and reporting based on Sony’s “Last Chance to Play” section identify eight games currently scheduled to leave the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs on October 20, 2026.

The reported list is:

• Death Squared
• Gloomhaven
• Harvest Moon: Light of Hope
• Jurassic World Evolution 2
• Lake
• Rogue Lords
• Silent Hill 2
• Yakuza: Like a Dragon

The list was initially identified through PlayStation Store listings in Japan and other Asian markets. Later reporting focused on the Spanish PlayStation Store produced the same eight-title roster.

However, there is an important regional warning attached to this list.

Sony explicitly states that PlayStation Plus Game Catalog availability can vary by region, country and subscription plan. That means players should not automatically assume that every market will display exactly the same games or removal dates.

This is especially relevant for Lake, Death Squared and Harvest Moon: Light of Hope. Earlier Asian listings included regional variations, including Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition.

The safest move is therefore to open the “Last Chance to Play” section on your own regional PlayStation Store before planning your backlog around the October 20 date.

Silent Hill 2 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon Are the Big Names on the Exit List

Among the eight reported departures, two titles immediately stand out: Silent Hill 2 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Konami’s Silent Hill 2 remake is currently included with PlayStation Plus Extra on the PlayStation Store. The PS5 psychological horror game reimagines the classic story around James Sunderland, who travels to the mysterious town of Silent Hill while searching for his deceased wife.

For horror fans who have been postponing that nightmare, the reported October 20 departure makes the remaining catalog window particularly relevant.

Then there is Yakuza: Like a Dragon, one of the most significant shifts in Sega’s long-running series.

Instead of continuing with the franchise’s previous protagonist, the game introduces Ichiban Kasuga as its new central character and changes the combat system to a turn-based RPG format.

For anyone using PlayStation Plus to work through the lengthy adventure, its reported departure means the applicable October cutoff in their region becomes an important date to keep in mind.

The remaining games cover a surprisingly wide range of genres.

Death Squared brings puzzle gameplay, while Gloomhaven offers tactical RPG action. Jurassic World Evolution 2 focuses on management and simulation, Lake delivers a narrative adventure, Rogue Lords leans into strategy RPG gameplay, and Harvest Moon: Light of Hope brings the familiar farming-focused experience.

In other words, this isn’t a single-genre purge. The reported departures affect several completely different types of players.

The incoming and outgoing games are part of the normal rhythm of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.

Sony’s current September 2026 lineup includes:

• Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound
• Dungeons of Hinterberg
• Sniper Elite: Resistance

Premium subscribers also received:

Sony stated that the September lineup became available on September 15, 2026, unless otherwise noted.

That makes the current situation pretty straightforward for subscribers: the Game Catalog is designed to keep moving.

Games enter, players get time to explore them, and eventually some titles rotate out to make room for other releases. The catalog is therefore better viewed as a changing library rather than a permanent collection of every game that has ever been added.

And because Sony’s selection can vary between territories, the experience for one subscriber may not perfectly match what appears on another country’s Store.

For now, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II remains one of the prominent recent games available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members. At the same time, anyone who has been putting off Silent Hill 2, Yakuza: Like a Dragon or the other reported departures should check their regional PlayStation Store before October 20, 2026.

That way, your backlog doesn’t turn into a race against a disappearing Game Catalog.
