Getting stuck on Meditation in Project Slayers 2โalso commonly called Slayers 2โis one of those moments where the game makes a simple objective feel way more confusing than it needs to be.
If you’re currently working toward Thunder Breathing, Meditation is the first objective in Thunder Trainer Zentaroโs six-part training sequence. The catch? You don’t actually meditate at Zentaro’s location.
Instead, once the Meditation objective becomes active, you’re sent back toward Butterfly Estate, also known as Butterfly Mansion. That’s where the meditation station is waiting. Find the correct room, interact with the mat, and you’ll be thrown into a timing-based minigame where your clicks need to land at the right moment.
So, if you’re running around looking for a meditation spot near Zentaro, stop climbing. The answer is back at Butterfly Estate.
Where to Find the Meditation Mat in Project Slayers 2
The Meditation training activity is located at Butterfly Estate/Butterfly Mansion.
For players following the Thunder Breathing route, the process starts by speaking with Thunder Trainer Zentaro and accepting his training quest. After that, the quest directs you toward Butterfly Estate for the required training activities.
When you reach Butterfly Estate, look for the large training house near the Set Spawn Crystal. Head inside and find the room containing the meditation mats.
The Meditation station is not outside with Zentaro, and you don’t need to return to the mountain summit to perform this part of the training.
Once your Thunder Breathing training is on track, the demon side of the game has its own night-time grind: hunting Muzan and collecting nine Spider Lilies. For more, follow our full walkthrough of Project Slayers 2 Muzan Guide: All Locations, 9 Spider Lilies, and the Fastest Demon Quest Route
Fast Route to Meditation
If you just want to get there without wandering around, follow this route:
- Travel to Butterfly Estate.
- Find the large training building near the Set Spawn Crystal.
- Enter the building.
- Head into the second room, where the meditation mat is located.
- Walk close to the mat until the interaction prompt appears.
- Start the Meditation activity.
Current guides describe the Meditation station as being inside this training building at Butterfly Estate.
How to Start Meditation
Once you’re beside the correct meditation mat, wait for the interaction prompt.
On PC, current guides report that you start the activity by holding T when the Meditation interaction becomes available.
After activating the interaction, the normal game view changes into the Meditation minigame. You’ll see a timing indicator featuring a moving line or cursor and a target area.
And this is where the actual test begins.
If a timing minigame felt tense, another game asks you to make a life-or-death call for a patient with no room for error. For more, check out our step-by-step guide to Silent Hill: Townfall Zoe: The Patient Guide โ How to Save the Patient
How to Complete the Project Slayers 2 Meditation Minigame
The Meditation minigame is all about timing your clicks.
Your goal is to watch the moving indicator and click when it lines up with the target area. Don’t panic-click and don’t try to brute-force the sequence. The game is testing timing, not how fast you can mash your mouse.
The basic process is:
- Start Meditation at the mat.
- Watch the moving indicator.
- Wait for it to reach the target area.
- Click at the correct moment.
- Repeat the timing inputs.
- Continue until the Meditation progress reaches completion.
- Check your training quest to make sure Meditate has registered.
Some current player guides describe the target as a white circular area with a yellow moving indicator. The exact visual presentation can change with game updates, but the core mechanic remains a timing-based exercise.
The biggest thing to remember is that timing matters more than speed. Repeatedly clicking without watching the indicator isn’t the goal. You want your input to land when the moving indicator reaches the target.
How to Confirm Meditation Is Complete
Here’s a small step that can save you from wasting time: check the quest tracker after completing the minigame.
Don’t simply finish the activity, leave the building, and assume the game registered it.
For Thunder Breathing, the training sequence is:
| Order | Thunder Breathing Training Objective |
| 1 | Meditate |
| 2 | Cup Training |
| 3 | Push ups |
| 4 | Aim Training |
| 5 | Boulder Split |
| 6 | Defeat the Thunder Trainee |
Meditation has to register before the next stage becomes available.
If your tracker still says Meditate 0/1, the game hasn’t counted the objective yet. If necessary, complete the Meditation minigame again and wait for the completion state to register.
Once the tracker changes to Meditate 1/1, you’re ready to move forward.
Meditation Doesn’t Follow the Same Order for Every Breathing Style
There’s an important detail here that can prevent a lot of confusion.
Meditation is used as part of training for several Breathing Styles, but the training activities aren’t necessarily arranged in the same order for every style.
For Thunder Breathing, Meditation is the first training objective:
- Meditate
- Cup Training
- Push ups
- Aim Training
- Boulder Split
- Defeat the Thunder Trainee
However, current guides report that Wind Breathing places Meditation later in its training sequence, while other Breathing Styles can use different combinations of training activities.
So don’t assume your route has to match Thunder’s exact order.
The safest move is to follow the objective currently displayed in your own quest tracker. Your active quest tells you which training activity you should be completing at that moment.
Meditation Not Appearing? Check These Things
If you reach Butterfly Estate and can’t find an interaction for Meditation, don’t immediately assume the quest is broken. Run through these checks first.
1. Make Sure Meditation Is the Active Objective
The Meditation mat isn’t necessarily usable simply because you’ve heard about the activity.
You need to have Meditation as the active training objective. If another training activity is currently listed, complete that objective first.
For Thunder Breathing, Meditation should be the first training activity after accepting Zentaro’s quest.
2. Make Sure You’re at Butterfly Estate
It’s easy to confuse the training destination with the trainer’s location.
Zentaro’s mountain summit is where you begin the Thunder Breathing quest. Butterfly Estate/Butterfly Mansion is where the Meditation training takes place.
If you’re standing near Zentaro and searching for a meditation mat, you’re in the wrong place.
3. Go Inside the Correct Building
Don’t spend time searching around the exterior of Butterfly Estate.
The Meditation station is inside the large training building near the Set Spawn Crystal. Head inside and look for the room containing the mats.
The Meditation mat is located in the second room.
4. Wait for the Interaction Prompt
Get close enough to the mat for the interaction prompt to appear.
On the default PC controls reported by current guides, holding T starts the Meditation activity once the interaction is available.
5. Check Your Quest Tracker
Even if you believe you completed the minigame successfully, your quest tracker is the final confirmation you should use.
Look for the objective changing from:
Meditate 0/1 โ Meditate 1/1
If it hasn’t changed to 1/1, Meditation hasn’t registered as complete yet.
Tips to Make Meditation Easier
Meditation is mostly a patience-and-timing challenge, so rushing it can work against you.
Watch the indicator, not your character. The character animation can be distracting. The timing indicator is what actually matters for the minigame.
Wait for the target. Don’t click continuously just because the indicator is moving. Wait for it to reach the target area and make the appropriate input at the correct moment.
Don’t rush the sequence. There’s no advantage to treating Meditation like a button-mashing challenge. The timing is the important part.
Check your progress after the attempt. If the quest tracker hasn’t changed to 1/1, don’t assume the game counted it. Complete the activity again if necessary and wait for the completion state.
Stay around the training area. Once Meditation is successfully registered, your quest tracker should tell you where to go next. For Thunder Breathing, that next objective is Cup Training.
Do You Need to Meditate Near Zentaro?
No.
This is probably the biggest location mistake to avoid when you’re following the Thunder Breathing quest.
Zentaro’s summit starts the Thunder Breathing training quest, but Butterfly Estate is where you perform Meditation.
After accepting the quest from Zentaro, follow the active objective marker toward Butterfly Estate. You don’t need to repeatedly climb back to Zentaro every time you complete a training activity.
Think of it as two separate parts of the route:
Zentaro = start the Thunder Breathing training quest
Butterfly Estate = complete the Meditation training
Once that distinction clicks, the Meditation objective becomes much easier to find.
What Comes After Meditation in Thunder Breathing?
Once you’ve successfully completed Meditation and your tracker shows Meditate 1/1, the next stage of Zentaro’s training is Cup Training.
The training sequence is intended to be completed in order, so don’t expect later objectives such as Push ups, Aim Training, or Boulder Split to immediately become available after Meditation.
The full Thunder Breathing route is:
Meditate โ Cup Training โ Push ups โ Aim Training โ Boulder Split โ Defeat the Thunder Trainee
The first five are training exercises. The sixth and final step is the Thunder Trainee encounter.
After completing the full sequence and defeating the Thunder Trainee, Zentaro’s training is finished, allowing Thunder Breathing to be unlocked through the Skill Tree.
So if Meditation is the part that’s currently blocking your progress, you don’t need another trainer and you don’t need to head back to Zentaro’s mountain summit.
Just follow the route:
Butterfly Estate โ training building โ second room โ meditation mat โ Meditation minigame โ Meditate 1/1
Once that objective registers, it’s time to move on to Cup Training.

Final Takeaway
The trickiest part of Meditation in Project Slayers 2 isn’t really the minigameโit’s knowing where the game wants you to go.
For Thunder Breathing, accept Zentaro’s quest first, then head to Butterfly Estate/Butterfly Mansion. Find the large training building near the Set Spawn Crystal, enter it, and go to the second room with the meditation mats.
Interact with the mat. On PC, current guides report holding T when the interaction prompt appears. Then focus on the moving indicator and click when it reaches the target area.
Don’t leave until your quest tracker confirms Meditate 1/1.
From there, Thunder Breathing’s training continues with Cup Training, followed by Push ups, Aim Training, Boulder Split, and finally the Thunder Trainee encounter. Completing the full sequence allows Thunder Breathing to be unlocked through the Skill Tree.
And remember: other Breathing Styles can arrange their training activities differently, so always use your active quest tracker as the guide for your specific route.
