Jamie Dornan Joins Zoë Kravitz in Megan Park’s Untitled Apple Movie
According to Deadline’s August 27 report, Jamie Dornan is set to star opposite Zoë Kravitz and Adèle Exarchopoulos in Megan Park’s upcoming Apple Original Film. The project is currently being described as a mystery film, with its official title and character details still undisclosed.
Dornan brings a seriously varied résumé to the cast. He is widely known for his acclaimed role in Kenneth Branagh’s Belfast, which earned him Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award nominations, as well as the BBC drama The Fall, which brought him a BAFTA nomination.
The actor is also continuing to build his relationship with Apple. Dornan stars in and executive produces the upcoming Apple crime thriller series 12 12 12, opposite Anthony Mackie, which is scheduled to premiere on November 13.

Zoë Kravitz and Adèle Exarchopoulos Complete the Announced Lead Cast
Kravitz was the first announced star attached to Megan Park’s new Apple film. Apple TV confirmed on June 1 that she would lead the project, highlighting Park as a DGA- and WGA Award-nominated writer and director.
The film had already generated major industry interest before Apple secured it in early 2026 following a competitive bidding process involving several major studios and streamers.
Adèle Exarchopoulos joined the project in August, taking a lead role opposite Kravitz. The French actress became internationally known after Blue Is the Warmest Color, her 2013 breakthrough film. What Is Megan Park’s Apple Mystery Film Actually About?

Apple and current trade reports have kept the official logline confidential. However, earlier industry reporting suggested the film previously circulated under the working title Die Alive.
The Hollywood Reporter reported in April that Apple won the project after a competitive bidding war involving Warner Bros., Sony, Universal, Amazon and Netflix.
According to industry sourcing at the time, the story centers on a woman who discovers that her boyfriend has a wife and children after they unexpectedly arrive at her doorstep. The situation initially puts the two women at odds, but the protagonist eventually finds herself becoming involved in caring for the children.
The script was also described as having tonal similarities to Adam Sandler’s Big Daddy and Julia Roberts’ Stepmom.

Megan Park Says Die Alive Is Her Most Personal Story Yet
Park herself discussed the project during an August interview while promoting her Prime Video series Sterling Point. At the time, she referred to the film as Die Alive, the previously reported working title.
The filmmaker described the project as a deeply personal story exploring parenthood, aging parents, love and loss.
“We’re comping it – which seems really crazy – as Stepmom meets Big Daddy. Zoë gets to be really funny in it.”
Park also opened up about why the story feels especially meaningful to her at this stage of her life.
“It’s really a story that feels closest to where I am in my life so far. It feels more personal in a way that I’m excited but also nervous about. Hopefully it’s something that makes people laugh really hard, and also cry, if we can get it right.”
The filmmaker has said the movie is expected to shoot in New York later in 2026.

Megan Park and LuckyChap Reunite After My Old Ass
The Apple project marks another collaboration between Park and LuckyChap, the production company associated with Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and its producing team.
Park previously worked with LuckyChap on My Old Ass, her 2024 coming-of-age comedy-drama starring Maisy Stella and Aubrey Plaza. The film premiered at Sundance and later earned Park WGA and DGA Award nominations.
