After months of anticipation following the conclusion of the Egghead Arc, ONE PIECE is officially returning with the highly awaited Elbaph Arc — and fans worldwide now have a confirmed release date. Crunchyroll and Toei Animation have announced that the Straw Hat Pirates will set sail for the legendary Land of Giants starting April 5, 2026. Here’s everything you need to know.

ONE PIECE Elbaph Arc Release Date

The ONE PIECE Elbaph Arc premieres on Crunchyroll on April 5, 2026. The anime went on hiatus after Episode 1155 aired on December 28, 2025, following the dramatic conclusion of the Egghead Arc. Now, after a few months’ break, the series is returning to continue the Final Saga with one of the most anticipated locations in the entire ONE PIECE universe.

Additionally, before the new arc begins, Crunchyroll will release the final batch of Egghead Island English dub episodes — covering Episodes 1144 to 1155 — starting March 24, 2026. This means English dub viewers can fully catch up on the Egghead Arc before diving into Elbaph.

Where to Watch ONE PIECE Elbaph Arc

The Elbaph Arc will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll across multiple territories, including:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • South Africa
  • India
  • Southeast Asia
  • Latin America

Both subbed and dubbed versions of ONE PIECE are available on Crunchyroll, alongside a selection of ONE PIECE theatrical movies. If you’re not caught up yet, now is the perfect time to binge the Egghead Arc before the Elbaph Arc drops.

What Is the Elbaph Arc About?

Elbaph has been teased in ONE PIECE for years — dating all the way back to the Little Garden Arc during the Alabasta Saga. Known as the Land of Giants, Elbaph is a warrior nation that has played a background role in the story for decades, and fans have been waiting patiently for Luffy and the Straw Hats to finally visit.

According to the official description from Crunchyroll:

“After a daring escape from the Future Island Egghead, the Straw Hat Crew set their course for a legendary destination. Joined by the mighty Giant Warrior Pirates, they finally reach Elbaph, the long-awaited Land of Giants. New encounters with Giants, and long hoped-for reunions unfold. A colossal new chapter begins as the crew heads into an adventure unlike anything before, all in the pursuit of the ultimate treasure, the ‘One Piece!’”

The arc promises new giant allies, unexpected challenges, long-awaited reunions, and major developments tied to the Final Saga. Without diving into spoilers, the Elbaph Arc is expected to push forward key plot threads involving ancient history, the mysteries of the world, and the race for the ultimate treasure.

New Broadcast Structure for ONE PIECE

Toei Animation and the official ONE PIECE staff have confirmed a revised broadcast structure moving forward. Starting with the Elbaph Arc, the anime will air approximately 26 episodes per year, split into two cours. Each episode will adapt one manga chapter.

This change aims to:

  • Improve pacing
  • Maintain higher animation quality
  • Stay closer to Eiichiro Oda’s source material

For longtime fans who have criticized the anime’s pacing in the past, this is genuinely exciting news. The new structure should result in tighter storytelling and better visual consistency across episodes.

English Dub Release Schedule

If you’re an English dub viewer, here’s what you need to mark on your calendar:

Release DateContent
March 24, 2026Egghead Island English dub (Episodes 1144–1155)

The final Egghead dub batch will allow English-speaking audiences to finish the arc before the Elbaph Arc begins, ensuring everyone can follow the story without gaps.

What Else Is Coming for ONE PIECE Fans?

Beyond the main anime’s return, ONE PIECE fans have plenty more to look forward to. A separate ONE PIECE Heroines anime project is currently in development, focusing on iconic female characters like Nami, Robin, and Vivi (one episode scheduled so far). Additionally, Netflix and WIT Studio are working on a new remake of the series with a completely different visual approach, though no release date has been announced yet.
