A Stevie Nicks and Olivia Rodrigo Duet?

Here is the moment that sent the internet into a spiral. During her Good Morning America interview with Diane Sawyer, Rodrigo hinted at a potential live duet with Stevie Nicks on “Landslide.” When Sawyer said she dreamed of seeing the two perform the song together, Rodrigo replied:

“We might make that happen for you, Diane. We’ll see. Can’t give too much away.”

For context, Rodrigo once reflected on seeing Nicks sing “Landslide” to a packed stadium and described it as “really powerful.” If that duet happens, it will be one of the most iconic live music moments in years.

The Charities Behind Daisy Chain Fields

One hundred percent of the net proceeds from Daisy Chain Fields will go to the following non-profit organisations dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls:

Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.

Rodrigo emphasised that every artist performing is doing so without any payment.

“All of the artists who are doing it are making no profit,” she confirmed. “I just feel like we need something really positive to do and see, and young girls need awesome role models who are supporting other women.”

The Inspiration: Lilith Fair

Rodrigo has been open about the direct inspiration for Daisy Chain Fields: Lilith Fair, the legendary all-women touring festival that Sarah McLachlan co-founded in the 1990s.

“Lilith Fair was a huge inspiration in me starting this festival,” Rodrigo told Sawyer. “The first person that I called when I decided that I wanted to do this festival was Sarah McLachlan. She’s a total trailblazer and an incredible artist and a friend.”

Rodrigo described the Daisy Chain Fields vision as “hippie girl, riot grrrl punk type of thing, like flower child meets riot grrrl,” and said she pictured

“girls sitting underneath a tree, making their daisy chains or flower crowns or friendship bracelets.”

On the festival’s name, she added:

“I like the idea of a daisy chain, that we can all be individual links in this chain that is larger than the individual.”

Why It Matters

The timing of Daisy Chain Fields lands in the middle of an ongoing conversation about gender imbalance in the live music industry. A 2025 report found that women made up only 21.6 percent of headliners across nine major music festivals, despite female artists dominating the charts, streaming numbers, and cultural conversation. Rodrigo’s decision to flip that dynamic entirely, with an all-women bill from top to bottom, carries weight well beyond one August afternoon.

“I think there’s this rhetoric that girls are supposed to be competing against each other for the top spot,” Rodrigo said. “I think it’s an experience like Lilith Fair and hopefully Daisy Chain that will show us that we’re all way stronger when we come together and support one another.”

The City of Irvine has also welcomed the festival warmly. Mayor Larry Agran noted that the Great Park has had an extraordinary summer already, with the US Men’s National Team using the grounds as their home base during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and now Daisy Chain Fields bringing a new kind of energy to the same space.
