How to Get the Corris Rivett in My Winter Car?

The Corris Rivett marks a turning point in My Winter Car. It’s the moment the game stops testing your patience and starts testing your craftsmanship. Unlike the vehicles you can repair and roll out fairly quickly, the Rivett greets you as a bare shell, waiting for someone patient enough to turn it into something worth starting on a cold morning.

It doesn’t arrive through a traditional quest. Instead, it appears through a small event that hinges on paying attention and letting the game move at its own pace. Many players miss it simply because they rush the phone call or overlook the marker that quietly appears on the apartment wall. Once you secure the car, the real work begins, but understanding how to trigger the event is the first step.

Below is a clean, reliable walkthrough that shows you how to unlock the Rivett and begin its rebuild.

Unlocking the Corris Rivett in My Winter Car

You unlock the Corris Rivett by contacting a specific seller whose number appears in a place most players walk past without noticing. The game expects you to slow down and follow the process without interrupting it.

1. Find the Seller’s Phone Number

Visit the gas station and check the posted notes. Among the scribbles, you will spot the number linked to the man selling the flatbed firewood truck. This number also leads you to the Rivett event.

2. Return to Your Apartment and Make the Call

Pick up your home phone and dial:

08 609 553

This step is deceptively strict. The seller goes on a rambling monologue that feels like it should be skipped, but you can’t cut him off.

3. Let Him Finish Talking

If you hang up early, the event may not trigger. Let him talk until he ends the call himself.

Once the call disconnects, turn to the map hanging on your wall. A new marker labeled “Car for sale” appears if everything worked correctly.

Reaching the Car for Sale

The marker directs you out into the countryside to the seller’s property. The drive isn’t complicated, but the event only starts once you step close enough to trigger his dialogue.

4. Approach the Seller

As you walk toward him, he starts explaining the Rivett and its condition. The car sits nearby as an incomplete shell, exactly as intended.

5. Inspect the Rivett

You can walk around it, check its current state, and get a sense of how much work you are committing to. The Rivett never arrives ready to drive; it arrives ready to teach.

6. Pay the Seller

When he finishes, walk up to him and pay 500 MK. The Rivett is now yours.

What Happens After You Buy It

Owning the Rivett is only the beginning. It won’t start, it won’t roll far, and it certainly won’t pass inspection. It expects a full teardown and rebuild.

This includes:

  • sourcing missing parts
  • repairing damaged components
  • mounting the drivetrain
  • wiring and plumbing
  • restoring the interior
  • ensuring roadworthiness

It becomes a long-term garage project rather than a quick reward. Players often treat the Rivett as a winter-long build, something to chip away at between jobs and emergencies.

A complete assembly path is still being explored by the community, and as more is confirmed, this guide will expand with a detailed step-by-step rebuild.
