What Does Patch 1.00.04 Fix?
This hotfix addresses one specific confirmed issue:
Fixed: An issue where, when switching from another character to Kliff, certain interactions and actions could not be performed properly.
This bug affected players who switched between Damiane or Oongka and then returned to main protagonist Kliff. After the switch, specific interactions and actions would stop working correctly, which disrupted normal gameplay flow and quest progression. The hotfix restores full functionality when returning control to Kliff from any other character.
Why Is This Update PS5 Only?
Patch 1.00.04 is a PlayStation exclusive hotfix. PC players see this version as Update 1.000.151 on console, and the issue it addresses was specific to the PlayStation platform. Xbox and PC players are not affected by this particular bug and therefore do not receive this specific update.
Context: Patch 1.00.03 Released the Same Day
Patch 1.00.04 followed closely behind the much larger Version 1.00.03 update, which Pearl Abyss also released on March 23. That patch was substantially bigger and covered a wide range of improvements and fixes across all platforms. Here is a summary of what Version 1.00.03 addressed before this hotfix arrived:

What Pearl Abyss Has Said
In its official patch communication, Pearl Abyss stated:
“We are continuing to review and improve various gameplay elements based on your feedback and will bring you more fixes and improvements in subsequent updates. Thank you once again for the feedback and support.”
The studio has also confirmed that more control improvements are planned for future patches, so players experiencing keyboard and mouse issues or other control-related friction should expect ongoing updates. The Version 1.00.03 changes to keyboard and mouse controls were described by Pearl Abyss as “the beginning of improvements” in that area rather than a complete resolution.
