Plot: What Good Fortune Is About

The story revolves around class disparity, wealth, and the gig economy. Gabriel, tired of saving people from minor accidents, decides to do something meaningful by switching the lives of Arj (working class) and Jeff (ultra-rich).

  • Arj wakes up in luxury, experiencing Jeff’s extravagant life.
  • Jeff is thrown into Arj’s struggles, grappling with odd jobs and financial stress.
  • Gabriel’s experiment proves unstable, leading to him losing his angel wings and being forced to live among humans.

The film blends fantasy, comedy, and heartfelt emotion, echoing classics like It’s a Wonderful Life with a modern twist.

Themes and Social Commentary

  • Wealth vs. Working Class: A comedic yet sharp take on economic inequality.
  • Gig Economy Reality: Reflecting modern struggles of workers worldwide.
  • Unionization & Labor Rights: Keke Palmer’s role highlights workplace justice.
  • Guardian Angel with Flaws: Keanu Reeves plays against type in a fun, clumsy angel role.

These themes resonate with audiences in the U.S., UK, Canada, and India, where debates about income gaps and labor rights are increasingly relevant.
