Among the dozens of skill discs scattered through Digimon Story Time Stranger, few are as quietly essential as Iron Slash 1. This low-tier Steel move isn’t just an attack skill; it’s the missing piece you’ll need to craft the Digi-Eggs of Sincerity and Knowledge later in the story.
Whether you’re chasing Shurimon or Digmon, here’s the full breakdown of where to find Iron Slash 1, how to unlock the area, and why it’s worth every Yen.

How To Get Iron Slash 1?
Buy From the Barkeep in the In-Between Theater
- Location: In-Between Theater – Kabukicho Back Alley, Shinjuku
- Vendor: The Barkeep
- Cost: 1,500 Yen
You can purchase Iron Slash 1 directly from the Barkeep inside the In-Between Theater, a liminal hub that connects the human and digital realms. It’s listed under the Steel-type skill discs in the bar’s menu. Once you’ve cleared Raremon during the main story mission “Rotten Stage,” the In-Between Theater becomes permanently accessible.
Quick Tip:
If you miss it during your first visit, the Barkeep’s stock refreshes after each main story act. Buying two copies is smart: one for crafting and one for combat attachment.
How To Unlock the In-Between Theater
To reach the Barkeep, you must first unlock the In-Between Theater, which acts as a midgame hub for items, skill trades, and Digifarm upgrades.

Steps to Unlock:
- Progress the main story until you defeat Raremon in Kabukicho’s Underground Passage.
- After the cutscene, you’ll receive a prompt about a “rift in space.”
- Head to Kabukicho Back Alley in Shinjuku. Look for floating glowing papers—these mark the tear that opens the In-Between Theater.
- Step through to enter the dimension and find the bar area to your left. The Barkeep stands behind the counter, ready to sell Iron Slash 1.

How To Use Iron Slash 1
1. Crafting Digi-Eggs at Vulcanusmon’s Forge
After completing Factorial Town’s Titan Arc, you’ll gain access to Vulcanusmon’s Workshop, located deep in the factory sector. This forge is where you’ll craft Armor Digi-Eggs—special Digivolution catalysts tied to lore-rich Digimon evolutions.
Iron Slash 1 is required for:
| Digi-Egg | Use | Other Materials |
| Digi-Egg of Sincerity | Evolves Hawkmon → Shurimon | Tree Model ×5, 10,000 Yen |
| Digi-Egg of Knowledge | Evolves Armadillomon → Digmon | Tree Model ×5, 10,000 Yen |
Without Iron Slash 1, you won’t be able to forge either of these critical Armor forms.
2. Equipping Iron Slash 1 as a Skill
Like all skill discs, Iron Slash 1 can also be equipped as an Attachment Skill.
Once slotted, it grants your Digimon a Steel-type physical attack—perfect for countering Rock, Plant, or Machine opponents.
- Skill Type: Physical
- Element: Steel
- Power: Moderate
- SP Cost: 12
- Effect: Single-target steel strike
Pro Tip:
Attach Iron Slash 1 to Hagurumon or ToyAgumon to capitalize on Steel bonuses. You can later extract the move via the Setup screen and transfer it to other Digimon.
