Buckflower stands among the most important early natural resources in Arknights Endfield. You encounter it often through crafting requirements, base production chains, and early progression systems tied to the AIC. Knowing where to find it and how to secure a steady supply saves time and keeps your factory moving without interruptions.

This guide explains exactly how to get Buckflower, where it spawns, and how to automate its production.

What is Buckflower and How it Works?

Buckflower is a plant type natural resource with a one star rarity. You can gather it directly from the wilderness or cultivate it inside your AIC. It is a brightly colored plant whose extracts support medication and other crafted materials. In gameplay terms, Buckflower acts as a base ingredient for processing chains and plant based automation.

Because several systems depend on it, Buckflower works best when you treat it as a renewable resource rather than something you collect only when required.

Where to Find Buckflower in the Open World?

You can find Buckflower throughout Valley IV. The plant spawns across all areas of the region, making it one of the most abundant natural resources available there. As you explore Valley IV, you can harvest Buckflower from gathering spots in the environment and store it directly in your inventory.

This method gives you immediate access early on and helps you gather the first few units needed to start automation later.

How to Farm Buckflower Through the AIC

Once you unlock the right AIC systems, Buckflower farming becomes fully automated. This method provides an unlimited supply without additional input.

Unlock Planting and Seed Picking Units

Start by unlocking Basic AIC II in your AIC plan. After that, research the Planting node using one Basic AIC Index. This unlocks both the Planting Unit and the Seed Picking Unit, which form the core of Buckflower farming.

Without these two units, automation is not possible.

Create a Buckflower Planting Loop

Place both the Planting Unit and Seed Picking Unit inside your AIC. Connect the Seed Picking Unit output directly to the Planting Unit input using a Transport Belt. Then connect the Planting Unit output back into the Seed Picking Unit to form a closed loop.

Insert one Buckflower bush into the Seed Picking Unit to start the process. Once active, the system continuously produces Buckflower without consuming extra resources.

Connect the Loop to the Automation Core

To store excess Buckflower, connect one output port of the Planting Unit to the Automation Core using another Transport Belt. This sends half of the harvested Buckflower into the Depot while the rest stays in the loop, allowing uninterrupted farming and long term storage.

How to Use Buckflower?

Buckflower serves as both a raw resource and a component within AIC production systems.

You can:

  • Insert Buckflower into the Seed Picking Unit to generate Buckflower Seeds
  • Use Buckflower Seeds in the Planting Unit to grow more Buckflower
  • Shred Buckflower for medication or materials tied to other products
  • One of its most common downstream uses is Buckflower Powder, a crafted material frequently requested by quests and production requirements.

This closed cycle makes Buckflower one of the most efficient renewable resources once automation begins.

How to Make Buckflower Powder

Some quests and crafting steps require Buckflower Powder rather than raw Buckflower.

To make it, you need to visit the crafting menu through your backpack. If crafting appear to be unavailable, you need to gather or farm more Buckflower and try again. Maintaining an automated Buckflower supply ensures you can craft Buckflower Powder whenever a quest demands it.

Efficient Buckflower Strategy

Early on, gather Buckflower manually in Valley IV to unlock your first production steps. Once AIC planting becomes available, shift entirely to automation. This approach prevents resource shortages and supports continuous crafting and factory expansion.
