How to Respawn in 99 Nights in the Forest?

A Roblox-style character stands beside a glowing orange Respawn Capsule at night, a wooden fence and dark trees are visible in the background. The scene suggests a safe base in the survival game, highlighting the capsule as a key item.

Craft the capsule. Fuel it with cultist gems. Cheat death and return stronger.

In 99 Nights in the Forest, survival isn’t a guarantee but a constant battle. Each passing night throws more at you: vicious cultists, lurking beasts, and the growing toll of hunger and fatigue. And when death finally comes, it often means losing everything.

But it doesn’t have to.

The Respawn Capsule offers a rare, game-altering mechanic: the chance to return, to defy the finality of death as long as you’ve prepared in advance. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to build, activate, and strategically use the Respawn Capsule, with up-to-date details on how its gem-based activation truly works.

What Is the Respawn Capsule in 99 Nights in the Forest?

The Respawn Capsule is a player-crafted structure that allows one revival per activation. When armed with the right resources, it lets a fallen survivor return to life exactly where the capsule stands without any long trek or lost ground.

But it doesn’t come easy. The capsule must be activated before a death occurs, and each activation costs a growing number of Cultist Gems.

How to Craft the Respawn Capsule?

Crafting this late-game lifesaver isn’t quick or easy. It takes serious preparation, the right materials, and a max-level crafting station.

Step 1: Upgrade Your Crafting Bench to Tier 5

The Respawn Capsule blueprint only becomes available at Tier 5.

Materials to upgrade:

  • 50 Logs
  • 50 Scraps
  • 1 Gem of the Forest

Once you upgrade, the blueprint remains available on that bench permanently.

Step 2: Gather the Capsule Materials

To actually build the capsule, collect the following:

  • 40 Logs
  • 40 Scraps
  • 1 Gem of the Forest

Logs can be chopped from trees. Bolts are commonly found in crates, broken machinery, and abandoned vehicles. The Gem of the Forest is more elusive, created by combining four Gem Fragments, which drop during Cultist Raids in the later nights.

Step 3: Build the Capsule

Once materials are ready:

  • Interact with your Tier 5 Crafting Bench
  • Locate the Respawn Capsule in the crafting menu
  • Confirm crafting and move it to your inventory

How to Activate the Respawn Capsule

Building the capsule is just the beginning. To make it work, you must activate it manually using Cultist Gems.

Activation Process:

  1. Interact with the capsule.
  2. Insert the number of Cultist Gems required.
  3. The capsule will now be armed—ready to revive the next player who dies.

Activation Cost:

  • First use: 1 Cultist Gem
  • Second use: 2 Cultist Gems
  • Third use: 3 Cultist Gems
  • Fourth use: 4 Cultist Gems
  • And so on…

The price increases by one with each successful revival.

Important Notes:

  • The capsule will not revive anyone unless it is activated before death.
  • One activation = one revival. After that, it must be recharged.
  • It works for one player per activation—reviving multiple teammates requires multiple activations.

Placement and Strategy Tips

Best Locations for the Capsule:

  • Near your campfire, crafting bench, and food supplies
  • Inside a walled or fortified area for protection
  • Away from high-traffic raid paths or boss spawn zones

When to Activate:

  • Just before an expected Cultist Raid
  • Before venturing into dangerous or unexplored areas
  • When preparing for a tough boss fight or solo exploration run

Advanced Tips:

  • Assign one teammate to handle gem collection and capsule upkeep
  • Track activation counts so you’re not surprised by the gem cost
  • Don’t waste activations too early—save them for key fights or nights

When used wisely, it can keep your run alive through brutal late-game spikes. It gives your squad a second wind and saves hours of progress. But treat it casually, and you’ll waste a rare resource with little to show for it.
