McDonald’s is officially stepping into the battle between HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys, and it is bringing the full menu with it.

Starting March 31, 2026, McDonald’s USA is rolling out two new adult meals inspired by Netflix’s Academy Award-winning animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, alongside a brand-new McFlurry flavour and exclusive collectible photocards. Both meals are available for a limited time while supplies last, and they are confirmed for US locations only so far.

When Do the K-Pop Demon Hunters Meals Launch?

The K-Pop Demon Hunters meals launch at McDonald’s restaurants across the US on March 31, 2026. You can grab them through dine-in, drive-thru, or McDelivery. Because these are limited-time items, availability depends on your local restaurant and stock levels.

The Two K-Pop Demon Hunters Meals Explained

The Saja Boys Breakfast Meal

The Saja Boys Breakfast Meal is built around the Spicy Saja McMuffin, a Sausage McMuffin with Egg topped with a peppery Spicy Saja Sauce inspired by the fire of Gwi-Ma, the demon villain from the film. The meal also includes hash browns and a small soft drink referred to as “Soda Pop.”

Key things to know:

  • The Spicy Saja Sauce draws its heat directly from Gwi-Ma’s character in K-Pop Demon Hunters
  • McDonald’s compared the hash brown’s crispy exterior and soft interior to Jinu, the leader of the Saja Boys
  • This is a breakfast-only item, so timing matters if you want to grab it

The HUNTR/X Meal

The HUNTR/X Meal includes 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, a medium soft drink, Ramyeon McShaker Fries, Hunter Sauce, and Demon Sauce, with three of those being limited-time menu additions.

Breaking down the new items:

ItemDescriptionInspiration
Ramyeon McShaker FriesSoy, garlic, sesame and spice seasoning; shake in the bag to coatRumi, Mira and Zoey’s go-to snack
Hunter SauceSweet chili blending chili, garlic and pepperHUNTR/X’s fierce yet fun-loving personalities
Demon SauceBold purple mustard with heat and tangDemon patterns from the film

The Ramyeon McShaker Fries are a spicy, umami spin on McDonald’s World Famous Fries, drawing directly from South Korean flavour traditions. You sprinkle the seasoning into the McShaker bag, add the fries, and shake to coat them.

The Derpy McFlurry

The Derpy McFlurry is a brand-new flavour inspired by Derpy the Tiger, the film’s lovable mascot character. It blends creamy vanilla soft serve with berry popping pearls inside a wild berry sauce. You do not need to buy either meal to order it since it is available completely a la carte.

Exclusive Photocards: What Are They and How Do They Work?

Every meal comes with a collectible card pack containing two cards: an exclusive photocard for either HUNTR/X or the Saja Boys, and a Derpy access card. The packs are blind, meaning you do not get to choose which group’s photocard you receive.

Here is how to use the access card:

  1. Scan the QR code on your Derpy access card
  2. Enter the unique code in the McDonald’s App
  3. Complete this before April 26, 2026 to unlock first-access exclusive content
  4. The code also unlocks a future special reveal showing which group wins the Battle for the Fans

Worth noting: These are adult meals, not Happy Meal products. McDonald’s designed the photocard format to mirror real K-pop fan culture, where collecting photocards is a significant part of the fandom experience.

The K-Pop Demon Hunters x McDonald’s Collab

The collaboration brings flavours directly inspired by McDonald’s restaurants in South Korea, connecting fans to the film through taste rather than just packaging. Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer Marian Lee confirmed that every detail, from the Ramyeon McShaker Fries to the sauces, was designed to feel like it could have come straight out of a scene in the movie.

For anyone who has not caught the film: K-Pop Demon Hunters is a Netflix animated film produced in partnership with Sony Pictures Animation. It follows K-pop girl group HUNTR/X, whose members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey use their secret identities as demon hunters to protect their fans from supernatural threats. Their biggest challenge is the Saja Boys, a rival demon boy band in disguise led by Jinu, with the overarching villain being the demon king Gwi-Ma. The film won an Academy Award and sparked a global fanbase.

Fan Reaction So Far

Fans have already been vocal online, with reactions ranging from “These are gonna sell out for sure” to “Finally something I am so excited for.” However, some fans expressed disappointment at photocards replacing physical toys. One Reddit user pointed out that the photocard format is a deliberate nod to K-pop collecting culture, where cards carry real collectible value for fans.
