BTS is about to turn South America into one of the biggest chapters of its ARIRANG world tour, with October shaping up to be a packed month for ARMY across the continent. What began as a smaller run has expanded significantly, adding more concerts and creating several major firsts for the group.
The scale of the journey is only part of the story. From Bogotá to São Paulo, BTS will cross five cities in Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil, while one stop comes with a special official honour from the city hosting the group.
BTS ‘ARIRANG’ South America tour now spans 14 concerts
The South American leg of the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ begins in Bogotá, Colombia, on October 2. BTS will perform at Estadio Nemésio Camacho El Campín on October 2 and 3, marking the opening of an October schedule that will take the group through five South American cities.
The next stop is Lima, Peru, where BTS will perform at Estadio San Marcos on October 7, 9 and 10. The October 7 performance was not part of the original schedule. It was added as demand for the concerts continued to build.
After Peru, BTS heads to Santiago, Chile. The group will perform at Estadio Nacional on October 14, 16 and 17, with October 14 also added to the itinerary after the initial announcement.
The tour then moves into Argentina, where BTS will perform at Estadio Único de La Plata, near Buenos Aires. The dates are October 21, 23 and 24, with October 21 serving as another additional concert.
The final South American stop comes in Brazil. BTS will close this part of the ARIRANG tour with three performances at Estádio MorumBIS in São Paulo on October 28, 30 and 31.

The schedule means ARMY will have 14 opportunities to see BTS perform live during the October South American leg.
Three extra BTS concerts were added after ARMY support
The expansion of the schedule is one of the biggest developments surrounding the South American leg.
BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed that additional performances would be held in Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires, directly connecting the expanded itinerary to the support shown by ARMY.
The agency stated:
“Thanks to the support of ARMY, we are holding one additional show in each city: LIMA, SANTIAGO and BUENOS AIRES, for the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’.”

La Plata gives BTS a special official honour before the Argentina concerts
The Argentina stop carries another major detail that sets it apart from the rest of the South American itinerary.
On July 2, the La Plata City Council unanimously passed a resolution naming BTS “Guests of Honor.” The recognition is described as the city’s highest level of official recognition for distinguished visitors and internationally recognised figures in culture and the arts.
The council cited BTS’ cultural influence, their international activities in the cultural sphere and their contribution to promoting youth rights when granting the recognition.
That makes the group’s upcoming performances at Estadio Único de La Plata particularly significant. BTS is scheduled to perform there on October 21, 23 and 24, with the October 21 show being the additional date.
The Argentina stop also represents a first for BTS as a group. The South American tour will bring the members to Buenos Aires for the first time as a group, adding another milestone to the current international touring era.
Bogotá and Buenos Aires mark important firsts for BTS
While the expanded schedule gives ARMY in several countries additional opportunities to attend the tour, two cities stand out for another reason.
The South American leg will bring BTS to Bogotá and Buenos Aires for the first time as a group.

The journey is therefore spread across Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil, beginning in Bogotá and eventually reaching São Paulo at the end of the month.
BTS arrives in South America after a huge North American tour
By the time BTS begins the South American leg, the group will already have completed an enormous North American stretch of the ARIRANG world tour.
The North American leg concluded with four concerts at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 1, 2, 5 and 6.
Overall, the North American leg featured 31 performances across 12 cities, with every show sold out and approximately 1.92 million spectators attending throughout the five-month run.
The final Los Angeles concerts alone attracted approximately 282,000 people.
Those performances also reached audiences far beyond the stadium. The Los Angeles shows were livestreamed through Weverse and viewed across 177 countries and regions, allowing ARMY around the world to follow the closing North American concerts.
There was another significant SoFi Stadium milestone attached to the Los Angeles run.
Including BTS’ four performances at the venue during the 2021 BTS Permission to Dance on Stage concerts, the group has now performed at SoFi Stadium eight times and has drawn approximately 496,000 people across those appearances, according to figures reported from BIGHIT MUSIC.
That puts the upcoming South American concerts directly after one of the most extensive sections of the current ARIRANG tour.
‘ARIRANG’ continues its Billboard 200 run during the world tour
The concerts are also arriving as BTS’ fifth studio album, ‘ARIRANG,’ continues to make its presence felt on the Billboard charts.
On the chart dated September 19, the album had spent 25 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, where it ranked at No. 29.
The album originally debuted at No. 1 and remained at the top of the Billboard 200 for three consecutive weeks.
By the September 19 chart, ARIRANG had accumulated 13 weeks inside the Billboard 200’s top 10.
The same chart also placed the album at No. 18 on Top Album Sales and No. 43 on Top Streaming Albums.
That ongoing chart performance adds another layer to the South American concerts because ARIRANG remains the foundation of the world tour while BTS continues moving through its international stadium schedule.
BTS has almost an entire month of South American stadium shows ahead
The timing of the tour makes October especially significant for ARMY across the continent.
BTS begins in Bogotá on October 2 and 3, then travels to Lima for October 7, 9 and 10. The group continues to Santiago on October 14, 16 and 17, before reaching La Plata on October 21, 23 and 24.
The final destination is São Paulo, where BTS will perform on October 28, 30 and 31.
