The world of Where Winds Meet often speaks in quiet symbols rather than clear instructions. Few side tales reflect this better than the Longevity Fruit and Seed ritual. Players discover glowing items tied to immortality, yet the game offers little guidance on their purpose or placement. What begins as simple exploration slowly unfolds into a layered ritual rooted in Jianghu lore.

This guide explains exactly where to get the Longevity Fruit and the Longevity Seed in Where Winds Meet, how they connect, and how to complete the Twinbeast Ridge deer ritual without confusion.

What the Longevity Fruit and Seed Represent

The Longevity Fruit and its seed do not grant direct stat bonuses or consumable effects. They exist as ritual objects tied to an ancient deer deity and a sealed fate in Twinbeast Ridge. Their value comes from progression, world state change, and narrative resolution rather than raw power.

Understanding this helps set expectations. This quest rewards patience, observation, and timing.

How Many Longevity Fruits You Need

You need two Longevity Fruits and one Longevity Fruit Seed to complete the ritual. Each item comes from a fixed location and serves a specific purpose.

Missing even one step will halt progress.

From the teleport point, look for the large house immediately to the left. Enter the building and climb the ladder inside to reach the second floor. Near a cupboard, you will see a softly glowing fruit resting on the floor. This is the first Longevity Fruit.

If the fruit does not appear at first glance, leave the area and return. Rendering delays sometimes cause confusion.

Where to Get the Second Longevity Fruit Near Gleaming Abyss

The second Longevity Fruit lies near the Gleaming Abyss, close to the massive statue that guards the area.

Search around the statue’s base for vines or branches blocking a small hidden space. Use a fire arrow or flame ability to burn the obstruction. Behind it, you will find another glowing Longevity Fruit linked to the deer god imagery.

Once collected, you will hold both fruits required for the ritual.

How to Get the Longevity Fruit Seed

The Longevity Fruit Seed comes from the Gleaming Abyss dungeon.

Progress through the dungeon and defeat the Void King boss. Upon your first clear, the game registers the seed as acquired. In some cases, the seed may not appear clearly in your inventory, but the quest system still tracks completion.

If you defeated the Void King earlier, do not worry. The ritual site will still recognize your progress.

Where to Plant the Longevity Fruit Seed

With all items secured, travel to Twinbeast Ridge, south of Tiger Fort.

Look for a white deer bound by talismans, lying motionless on the ground. This spot anchors the entire ritual.

From the deer, walk uphill to find a large dirt circle surrounded by stone worshipper statues. Stand in the center of this circle to receive the prompt to plant the Longevity Fruit Seed. After planting, a small sapling appears.

This does not finish the ritual.

Finding the Two Deer Altars Using Wind Sense

Return to the bound deer and activate Wind Sense.

You will see three golden trails extending outward. One points back to the seed planting circle. The other two lead to separate deer altars.

  • One altar lies east, closer to the cliffs near Tiger Fort
  • The second altar lies southwest, downhill toward the river

Each altar accepts one Longevity Fruit.

Offering the Longevity Fruits at the Correct Time

Timing matters.

You must offer both fruits during Zi hour, which corresponds to midnight in the in game time cycle.

Adjust the time using rest or time skip features. When Zi hour arrives, approach each altar and interact with the offering bowl. Place one Longevity Fruit at each shrine. Flames will ignite, and the golden trails will fade.

If an altar shows no prompt, check the time again.

Waiting for the Longevity Tree to Grow

After offering both fruits, wait.

The sapling at the dirt circle needs time to grow. Spend time elsewhere, complete other activities, or allow a full cycle to pass. When you return, the sapling will have grown into a Longevity Tree, and an NPC will stand nearby.

Completing the Final Step at the Deer Site

Return to the original deer location.

The deer will no longer appear. Instead, inspect the ground where it once lay. Look for interactable twigs or roots and engage with them. This final interaction completes the Twinbeast Ridge ritual and closes this chapter of the story.

Many players miss this step, so search carefully.

What You Gain From the Longevity Ritual

Completing this ritual:

  • Resolves Twinbeast Ridge Part One
  • Changes the world state around the deer site
  • Unlocks future narrative possibilities tied to the deer deity
  • Reinforces the theme that actions reshape Jianghu quietly

The reward lies in consequence rather than spectacle.
