Important Notice: Our team is still actively working to fully understand the complexities of Arknights Endfield’s gacha system. While the game has officially launched, some explanations of the system may vary slightly in actual gameplay as we continue testing and gathering player feedback. We will continuously update this article as we gain more clarity and receive community input. Please use this guide for referential purposes only, and always verify rates and mechanics in-game with verified sources. If you notice any discrepancies or have corrections, we welcome your feedback.

Understanding how does Endfield gacha work can feel overwhelming at first. The Endfield gacha system operates differently from most modern gacha games, blending mechanics that reward patience while demanding careful planning. This guide breaks down every aspect of the Endfield pity system across character and weapon banners, helping you make informed decisions about when and where to spend your hard-earned resources.

Understanding Pity Mechanics

Arknights Endfield pity serves as a safety net in gacha games. After a certain number of pulls without obtaining high-rarity rewards, the system guarantees you’ll receive something valuable. Endfield implements this across two separate gacha systems: Operators (characters) and weapons. Each operates under distinct rules, and knowing which Endfield pity carryover mechanics apply between banners becomes crucial for resource management.

Character Banner Base Rates

The character gacha uses Oroberyl as its currency. A single pull costs 500 Oroberyl, while a ten-pull requires 5,000 Oroberyl. The baseline drop rates before any pity mechanics activate are:

  • 6-Star Operators: 0.8%
  • 5-Star Operators: 8%
  • 4-Star Operators: 91.2%

Getting a 6-Star Operator sits below one percent per pull, making the pity system essential for planning.

The Limited-Time Operator banner features specific rate-up characters available for a restricted period. Here’s how pity functions on this banner:

10-Pull 5-Star Guarantee

Every ten pulls guarantee at least one 5-Star Operator. This guarantee carries over between banners, meaning seven pulls on one banner and three on the next will trigger the guarantee on that third pull. When you receive a 5-Star, the system applies a 50/50 check: half the time you’ll get the featured 5-Star, half the time you’ll receive a different one.

Soft Pity Begins at 65 Pulls

After 65 pulls without obtaining a 6-Star, Endfield soft pity activates. Your chances increase by 5% with each additional pull. At pull 66, your 6-Star rate becomes 5.8% instead of 0.8%. At pull 67, it jumps to 10.8%, continuing this pattern until you finally pull a 6-Star. Once you do, the counter resets to zero.

Hard Pity at 80 Pulls

Reaching Endfield 80 pity without any 6-Star guarantees one on your 80th pull. However, the Endfield 50/50 system determines whether you receive the featured limited character or a different 6-Star. This Endfield hard pity at 80-pull guarantee carries over between banners. Doing 60 pulls on one banner means you need only 20 more on the next to hit the guaranteed 6-Star.

The pool composition for this 50/50 works uniquely in Endfield. When a new Endfield current banner appears, the previous two limited characters remain in the pool. If you lose your 50/50, you might receive one of these previous limited characters instead of a standard one:

  • Current featured character: 50%
  • Each of the two previous limited characters: 7.14% (14.28% combined)
  • Standard pool characters: 35.72%

The 120-Pull Featured Character Guarantee

At Endfield 120 pity, you receive the featured limited 6-Star character with absolute certainty. This guarantee applies only once per banner and does not carry over to the Endfield next banner. Pulling 119 times without getting the featured character means those pulls reset to zero when the banner ends. You start from scratch on the next banner.

Unlike some gacha games, Endfield has no “guaranteed featured character on next 6-Star” after losing the 50/50. Every 6-Star before reaching 120 pulls remains a 50/50 between the featured character and others. You could theoretically pull five 6-Stars before hitting 120 and receive none of the featured character. Only the 120-pull milestone guarantees them.

Duplicate Guarantee at 240 Pulls

For players pursuing duplicates, an additional guarantee exists at 240 pulls. You’ll receive another copy of the rate-up character at this threshold. This repeats every 240 pulls, though the guarantee only applies once per banner for the first dupe.

Free 10-Pull Reward

After completing 60 pulls on a limited banner, you receive a Headhunting Dossier. This grants a free ten-pull for the next limited banner. You can claim this reward once per limited banner, and you must use it on the immediately following banner or it expires. Saving these for future banners is not possible.

Standard Banner Pity System

The standard banner works similarly to the limited banner with a few key differences.

Matching Rates and Soft Pity

The standard banner shares the same drop rates as the limited banner (0.8% for 6-Star, 8% for 5-Star). Soft pity activates at 65 pulls with the same 5% increase per pull.

Hard Pity at 80 Pulls

At 80 pulls, you receive a guaranteed 6-Star from the standard pool. Unlike the limited banner, no 50/50 exists here because all characters on the standard banner are permanent additions

300-Pull Selector

After accumulating 300 total pulls on the standard banner, you can select any standard 6-Star character as a reward. This represents a long-term goal but guarantees you can eventually secure your favorite standard character.

Beginner Discount Banner

The Endfield beginner banner (New Horizons) for new players offers a special opportunity to jumpstart your account. By completing Chapter 1 of the main story, you receive special tickets that grant up to 40 free pulls exclusively for this banner. Within these 40 pulls, you’re guaranteed to obtain a 6-Star from a pool of five permanent characters. Once you spend all 40 pulls, you’ll also receive a 6-Star weapon selector, allowing you to choose one of five weapons that pair well with the standard 6-Star operators. This banner disappears once you complete it, making it a one-time opportunity.

Weapon Banner System

The Endfield weapon banner system operates completely differently from character pulls. Instead of using Oroberyl directly, you use Arsenal Tickets.

Earning Arsenal Tickets

You earn Arsenal Tickets by pulling characters:

  • 6-Star Operator: 2,000 Arsenal Tickets
  • 5-Star Operator: 200 Arsenal Tickets
  • 4-Star Operator: 20 Arsenal Tickets

Every ten-pull on the character banner guarantees at least one 5-Star and nine 4-Stars, meaning you’ll always receive at least 380 Arsenal Tickets per ten-pull (200 from the 5-Star plus 180 from nine 4-Stars).

Converting Oroberyl into Arsenal Tickets is possible at a rate of 30 Oroberyl for ten tickets, though this is generally not recommended.

Weapon Drop Rates

The weapon banner has substantially better rates than the character banner:

  • 6-Star weapons: 4%
  • 5-Star weapons: 15%
  • 4-Star weapons: 81%

A ten-pull on the weapon banner costs 1,980 Arsenal Tickets. Single pulls are not allowed on this banner—only ten-pulls.

Weapon Pity Mechanics

The Endfield weapon pity explained: weapon pity functions distinctly from character pity:

Guaranteed 5-Star Every 10 Pulls: Every ten-pull guarantees at least one 5-Star weapon.

Guaranteed 6-Star Every 40 Pulls: After three attempts (30 pulls) without obtaining a 6-Star weapon, your fourth attempt (40 pulls total) guarantees a 6-Star weapon. However, only a 25% chance exists that it will be the featured weapon. A 75% chance remains of getting a different 6-Star weapon from the off-banner pool. These off-banner weapons are universal weapons, not signature weapons for specific operators.

Guaranteed Featured Weapon at 80 Pulls: Within eight attempts (80 pulls total), you receive the featured weapon with certainty. This guarantee works only once per banner and does not carry over to the next weapon banner.

Unlike character pity, weapon pity does not carry over between banners. Doing 70 pulls on one weapon banner means those pulls reset to zero when a new weapon banner starts. You should only pull on weapon banners if you have enough tickets to reach your desired pity level.

Arms Offering System

An additional guarantee system exists starting at 100 pulls (the 10th attempt) called Arms Offering. This provides a selector letting you pick any off-banner 6-Star weapon. After this, every eight attempts (80 pulls) alternates between giving you the featured weapon and another Arms Offering selector.

The cycle progresses: 10th attempt/100 pulls (Arms Offering) → 18th attempt/180 pulls (featured weapon) → 26th attempt/260 pulls (Arms Offering) → 34th attempt/340 pulls (featured weapon), continuing this alternating pattern.

Arsenal Ticket Shop and Weapon Acquisition

You can also purchase weapons directly from the shop using Arsenal Tickets instead of relying on the gacha. The shop features several sections:

  • Permanent Shop: Universal weapons (not signature weapons) available for direct purchase
  • Daily Refresh Shop: Random 4-Star and 5-Star weapons that refresh daily
  • Weekly Refresh Shop: Random 5-Star and 6-Star weapons that refresh weekly

Featured limited signature weapons cannot be purchased directly and must be obtained through the weapon gacha. The weapon banners display the featured rate-up signature weapon at the top, while standard banner operators’ signature weapons appear in separate banners below.

Pity Carryover: What Transfers and What Doesn’t

Understanding which pity carries over is crucial for planning. For players looking to track their progress, an Arknights Endfield pity calculator can help determine how close you are to your next guarantee:

Carries Over to Next Banner:

  • Character banner 80-pull hard pity (guaranteed 6-Star)
  • Character banner 5-Star guarantee every ten pulls
  • Character banner soft pity at 65+ pulls

Does Not Carry Over:

  • Character banner 120-pull featured character guarantee
  • Weapon banner 40-pull 6-Star guarantee
  • Weapon banner 80-pull featured weapon guarantee
  • All weapon banner pity counters

Strategic Pulling Advice

For Character Banners

Save 120 pulls before pulling on a limited banner if you want to guarantee getting the featured character. Pulling with fewer than 120 is risky unless you accept potentially missing the featured character. Your 80-pull pity carries over, making it acceptable to build pity on one banner and use it on the next if you’re close to 80 pulls.

Don’t expect to receive the featured character before 120 pulls unless luck favors you. The 50/50 system means you could pull multiple 6-Stars without getting the one you want.

For Weapon Banners

Only pull on weapon banners if you have enough Arsenal Tickets to reach a guarantee. Don’t start pulling with 1,000 tickets when you need 1,980 for a single ten-pull.

Consider buying weapons directly from the shop instead of gambling if they’re available for purchase. Save your Arsenal Tickets for weapons matching your favorite characters rather than pulling on every weapon banner.

Final Thoughts on the System

Endfield’s gacha system follows patterns common in older gacha games, with the 120-pull character guarantee being reasonable compared to some games requiring 180 or more pulls. The weapon system’s separate currency proves player-friendly since you’re not forced to choose between pulling for characters or weapons.

The most important thing to remember: the 120-pull guarantee doesn’t carry over between character banners, so plan accordingly. For weapons, the lack of pity carryover means you should only commit to pulling if you can reach a guarantee milestone.

The pity system provides solid safety nets for both free-to-play and paying players. Understanding which pity counts carry over and planning your pulls carefully maximizes your chances of obtaining the characters and weapons you want.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Should I pull with 80 saved pulls on an Endfield limited banner?

Only if you’re okay with potentially missing the featured character. Endfield 80 pity guarantees a 6-Star, but the Endfield 50/50 means you have just a 50% chance of getting the featured character. You could get a previous limited character (14.28% chance) or a standard character (35.72% chance) instead. Always save the full Endfield 120 pity to guarantee the featured character, as the 120-pull guarantee doesn’t carry over to the Endfield next banner.

Is pulling on the Endfield weapon banner worth it?

Only if you have 15,840 Arsenal Tickets saved (80 pulls) for the guarantee. Endfield weapon pity explained: you need 40 pulls for a 6-Star weapon (25% featured chance) or 80 pulls for the guaranteed featured weapon. Since Endfield pity carryover doesn’t apply to weapons, any pulls under 80 are wasted when the banner changes. Most players should buy weapons from the Arsenal shop instead of gambling on the Endfield weapon banner.

How does Endfield soft pity work and when will I pull a 6-Star?

Endfield soft pity activates at 65 pulls, increasing your 6-Star rate by 5% per pull (5.8% at pull 66, 10.8% at pull 67, etc.). Most players pull their 6-Star between pulls 65-75 rather than hitting full Endfield hard pity at 80. However, always budget for 80 pulls to avoid disappointment. Use an Arknights Endfield pity calculator to track your exact odds and pull count.
