Blizzard Entertainment has revealed details about the next major update for Diablo Immortal, set to launch on September 25. Titled Flesh Harvest, this patch promises significant content additions, quality-of-life improvements, and fresh gameplay challenges for players on Android and iOS.
The update expands the Sharval Wilds, introducing the corrupted regions of the Wicker Fields and the grotesque Boil of Creation, a massive Shardborne hive inspired by organic growths like tumors and moles. Players will face new Shardborne enemies and a storyline centered on Albrecht’s sinister plans for Sanctuary, tying back to the lore of the original Diablo game.
Shadow War Overhaul and Clan Rewards
Flesh Harvest introduces a revamped Shadow War system. The new format eliminates traditional elimination brackets, instead featuring two weekly matches per clan, with points awarded for victories. Clans are matched against opponents with similar scores, and the top 10–20 clans will receive tiered rewards. Players can also unlock Shadow Cloaks as clans level up and earn Marks through the new four-player exclusive challenge, Akeba’s Ordeal.
New Legendary Gems and Familiar System Enhancements
The update adds three Legendary Gems: Haunt Coil (Five-Star), Fading Nostrum (Two-Star), and Mountain Toe (One-Star). Haunt Coil allows players to haunt enemies for six seconds, providing strategic offensive or defensive effects. Familiar mechanics also see improvements: players can now retain either the material or converted familiar, conversion outputs are adjusted, and the Familiar Shop displays refresh times for easier planning.
Seasonal Events and Continuing Activities
Even before Flesh Harvest launches, Diablo Immortal will host several ongoing events. Season of the Harvest runs from September 24 to October 15, while Winds of Fortune ends on September 25. Additionally, Warping of the Wilds, available to players level 30 and above, continues through September 28.
Blizzard describes the patch as “fleshy, gruesome, and objectively sickening,” reflecting its focus on grotesque environments and challenging new content. Fans can expect further developer insights on September 23 ahead of the official rollout.
With its continuous updates and mobile-first design, Diablo Immortal maintains its position as a leading action RPG on mobile, combining deep lore, competitive PvP, and engaging seasonal content.
