Crucially, Roblox covers the cost of all subscriber discounts itself, meaning creators do not lose any earnings when a Plus subscriber makes a purchase. In fact, because subscribers can spread the same amount of Robux across more purchases thanks to the discount, creators actually stand to earn more overall.
Every Roblox Plus Benefit, Explained
10% Discount on In-Game Items and Avatars
From the moment your subscription activates, you receive an automatic 10% discount on in-game items, avatar purchases, and other Robux-based transactions. This applies instantly and does not require any additional steps on your part.
20% Discount Starting Month Three
If you maintain your Roblox Plus subscription for three consecutive months, your discount doubles to 20%. This is a strong long-term incentive, as it makes your Robux go noticeably further the longer you stay subscribed.
Free and Unlimited Private Servers
Roblox Plus subscribers get free, unlimited private servers across all supported games. Private servers let you create your own instance of a game, giving you full control over who joins. This is a particularly appealing feature for friend groups, content creators, and anyone who prefers a more controlled gaming environment.
Free Robux Transfers

What Happens to Roblox Premium?

How Roblox Plus Benefits Creators
Roblox has been careful to design Plus in a way that does not cut into creator earnings. Here is how the subscription actively works in creators’ favour:
Maintained earnings per purchase. When a Plus subscriber uses their 10% or 20% discount on an in-game item, Roblox absorbs that discount cost. The creator receives the same amount they would have earned from a full-price purchase. Furthermore, because subscribers can afford more purchases with the same Robux, creators can see higher overall transaction volume.
Private server earnings. Since Plus subscribers get free access to paid private servers, Roblox built in a compensation system for creators. Creators earn up to 100 Robux per Plus subscriber who spends 60 or more cumulative minutes in their game’s paid private server over a 30-day period. Roblox counts the top five paid private servers where each subscriber spent the most qualifying time.
Sign-up bonuses via in-game API. Creators who implement the new PromptRobloxSubscriptionPurchase API in their game can earn a bonus of 250 Robux per month for every player who subscribes to Roblox Plus from within their game. This bonus applies for each of the subscriber’s first three consecutive months, adding up to a maximum of 750 Robux per new subscriber the creator brings in.
Is Roblox Plus Worth It?
At $4.99 per month, Roblox Plus delivers genuine value for players who are already spending Robux regularly. The 10% discount kicks in from day one, and if you maintain the subscription through month three, the 20% discount starts to make a meaningful dent in your usual spend. The free private servers alone are a significant perk for players who currently pay for them on a per-game basis.
However, if you only log into Roblox occasionally or rarely spend Robux, the subscription is harder to justify at this stage. That said, with Roblox confirming that more features and benefits are already planned for after launch, the value proposition of Roblox Plus is only going to grow over the coming months.
