The Aizen Sword, officially known as the Manipulator Sword, is one of the most iconic late-game weapons in Sailor Piece. It delivers powerful damage-dealing movesets that work exceptionally well against large groups of enemies, making it a strong stepping stone toward the top-tier endgame builds. This guide covers how to unlock the base Manipulator Sword, how to upgrade it to the True Aizen Sword, and how to unlock the powerful F move on the upgraded version.
Aizen Sword Overview
| Detail | Info |
| Sword Name | Manipulator Sword (Aizen) |
| Upgraded Version | True Manipulator Sword (True Aizen) |
| Rarity | Mythical |
| Location | Hollow Island (previously Hueco Mundo) |
| Base DMG | 680 |
| Speed | Fast |
| Mastery | 450 |
| True Aizen Base DMG | 900 |
| True Aizen Speed | Fast |
| True Aizen Mastery | 800 |
Step 1 – Complete the Manipulator Trainer Quests
Your journey to the Aizen Sword begins on Hollow Island (previously known as Hueco Mundo). Head to the back of the island and find the Manipulator Trainer NPC. Interact with him to begin his questline. You must complete all five quests in order:
Quest 1: Defeat 250 Hollow Enemies
These enemies spawn near the seashore on Hollow Island. Use a solid AoE build to clear them efficiently and finish this quest faster.
Quest 2: Obtain the Shinigami Race
Use Race Rerolls to roll the Shinigami Race. This is a Legendary-rarity race, so consider adjusting your settings to skip Epic-tier races and improve your odds. Epic and Legendary Chests from strong enemies on Lawless Island and Ninja Island carry higher chances of providing Race Rerolls.
Quest 3: Use a Worthiness Fragment
A Worthiness Fragment drops from defeating Hollow enemies on the island. Once you have one, click on the item in your inventory to use it and complete this quest.
Quest 4: Deal 350,000,000 Damage
This does not need to happen in a single session. Continue defeating enemies and bosses across your normal grind, and the damage total will accumulate over time.
Quest 5: Defeat the Manipulator Boss 15 Times
The fastest method is to defeat the boss in your current server, then server hop to a fresh lobby to reset the spawn. Repeat until you reach 15 total kills, as boss respawn timers within the same server can be very long.
Step 2 – Gather the Required Materials
After completing the questline, you still need to provide materials to the Manipulator Trainer NPC before the sword unlocks. All of the following items drop from the Manipulator (Aizen) Boss:
| Material | Quantity | Drop Rate |
| Hogyoku Fragment | 1 | 1.28% |
| Reiatsu Core | 3 | 3.21% |
| Illusion Prism | 6 | 8.56% |
| Mirage Pendant | 10 | 21.40% |
| Gems | 10,000 | Farm or redeem Sailor Piece codes |
| Money | 6,000,000 | Regular gameplay |
Tip: Before farming the Manipulator Boss, boost your Luck stat as much as possible using the Kitsune Race (+25% Luck), Runes, clan bonuses, boss kill titles, or Luck boosts from the shop. This significantly improves your chances of landing rare drops like the Hogyoku Fragment. Redeeming active Sailor Piece codes is also the fastest free way to top up your Gems before this grind begins.
Once you hand over all materials to the Manipulator Trainer NPC, the Aizen Sword unlocks immediately.
Step 3 – Unlock Soul Dominion (For True Aizen)
To upgrade to the True Manipulator Sword (True Aizen), you first need to access Soul Dominion. You can unlock this area by collecting 6 Hogyoku Fragments scattered across multiple islands, including Hollow Island and other high-level areas. Some fragments require specific exploration and interactions to find. Level 8,500 or above is generally recommended before attempting this part comfortably. Once you reach Soul Dominion, set your spawn point there for convenient access during the farming grind ahead.
Step 4 – Get the True Manipulator Sword (True Aizen)
Head to the far side of the island, opposite from the Soul Dominion spawn point, to find the True Manipulator NPC. This upgrade requires you to already own the base Manipulator (Aizen) Sword, along with the following materials. Most of them drop from defeating the True Manipulator Boss in Soul Dominion, while Chrysalis Sigils come from farming Quincy enemies in the same area:
| Material | Quantity | Drop Rate |
| Transcendent Being Title | 1 | Small chance from True Manipulator Boss |
| Evolution Fragment | 1 | 0.43% from True Manipulator Boss |
| Transcendent Core | 3 | 0.86% from True Manipulator Boss |
| Divinity Essence | 8 | 3.48% from True Manipulator Boss |
| Fusion Ring | 15 | 10.17% from True Manipulator Boss |
| Chrysalis Sigil | 75 | Dropped by Quincy enemies in Soul Dominion |
| Gems | 35,000 | Farm or redeem codes |
The Chrysalis Sigils are your primary grind target here. Higher Luck stats improve all rare drop rates from the True Manipulator Boss significantly, so combine Luck titles, Runes, cosmetics, clan bonuses, and shop boosts before you start. Additionally, server hopping after each True Manipulator Boss kill is the most time-efficient farming strategy, as respawn timers in the same server are long. Checking active Sailor Piece codes before grinding is strongly recommended, as they frequently provide free Gems, clan rerolls, and chests.
Once you have everything, return to the True Manipulator NPC and hand over the materials to receive the True Aizen Sword.
Step 5 – Unlock the True Aizen F Move
The F move on the True Manipulator Sword does not unlock automatically. After obtaining the sword, head to the top of the tallest tower near the True Manipulator Boss in Soul Dominion. Keep jumping to climb the tower and find the True Aizen F Mastery NPC at the top. Interact with him to begin the final questline:
Quest 1: Defeat the True Manipulator Boss 15 Times on Hard or Extreme Difficulty
Hard mode costs 3 Chrysalis Sigils per summon, so you will need at least 45 Sigils ready before starting. Farming on Hard or Extreme also improves drop rates on any remaining rare materials, so this doubles as a useful resource run.
Quest 2: Obtain the Espada Clan
Use Clan Rerolls to land the Espada Clan. Rerolls drop from enemies and bosses; however, redeeming active Sailor Piece codes remains the most resource-efficient method to get them without spending materials manually.
Quest 3: Consume 5 Transmutation Shards
These drop from Quincy or Hollow enemies in Soul Dominion. However, the drop rate is lower than Chrysalis Sigils, so budget extra farming time specifically for this quest.
Completing all three quests unlocks the F move and grants a permanent +30% damage buff to the True Aizen Sword.
Full Moveset Comparison – Manipulator vs True Manipulator
| Keybind | Manipulator Sword | True Manipulator Sword |
| M1 | Continuous slashes with purple sparks | Four forward slashes |
| Z | Sword thrust creating a yellow power blow | Powerful yellow blow using the player’s hand |
| X | Continuous slashes with a cross formation attack | Multiple player copies each attacking with sword slashes |
| C | Massive AoE circle forming around the player | Powerful AoE in a circular boundary |
| V | Long rectangular domain dealing heavy damage | Same cutscene but with a much larger rectangular domain |
| F | Not available | Cutscene move unleashing a powerful purple dragon attack |
Is the Aizen Sword Worth Getting?
The Manipulator Sword sits at 680 base DMG with Fast speed and 450 Mastery, making it a strong mid-to-late-game weapon. However, the True Aizen Sword at 900 base DMG, Fast speed, and 800 Mastery is where the real power lies, especially once you unlock the F move and the 30% permanent damage buff. Together, they form one of the strongest upgrade paths in Sailor Piece before you move on to the Atomic Sword or the Abyssal Empress Sword at the very top of the endgame tier.
