The Human Spirit of Light is more than just an item in Digimon Story: Time Stranger. It’s the key to unlocking Lobomon, a legendary Hybrid Digimon whose strength shines in both early and late-game stages. Acquiring it requires a bit of preparation, a touch of patience, and knowing exactly where to look.

What the Human Spirit of Light Is?

In the game’s lore, the Human Spirit of Light carries the essence of the Light Warrior, one of the Ten Legendary Warriors. Mechanically, it’s a special Digivolution item required to evolve Kudamon into Lobomon once your Agent Rank reaches Level 3 or higher. It can also be used to enable Lobomon’s Mode Change if you already have KendoGarurumon in your roster.

To craft the Human Spirit of Light, you’ll need:

  • Fruit Tart ×3
  • Saint Knuckle I ×1
  • 10,000 Yen

Where to find these items:

  • Fruit Tart: Buy from the convenience store in Shinjuku while still in the Human World. If you enter the Digital World before purchasing, you’ll have to progress the story further to return.
  • Saint Knuckle I: Purchase from the Disc Shop either in the In-Between Theater or Akihabara. If the first location doesn’t have it yet, Akihabara usually does as the story progresses.

2. Visit Volcanusmon’s Crafting Shop

Once you have the required items and currency, head to Volcanusmon or Guardromon (Gold) in the Factorial Area. Speak with the shopkeeper to craft the Human Spirit of Light.

Many players recommend collecting these items before leaving the Human World to avoid unnecessary backtracking later in the story.

How to Use the Spirit of Light?

With the Human Spirit of Light in hand and your Agent Rank at 3 or above, you can:

  • Evolve Kudamon into Lobomon.
  • Enable Lobomon’s Mode Change from KendoGarurumon if you’ve already unlocked that Digimon.

Lobomon’s Hybrid classification gives it balanced offensive and defensive capabilities, making it a solid addition to your lineup at any point in the game.

Quick Tips Before You Craft

  • Buy the Fruit Tarts early in Shinjuku so you don’t get locked out.
  • Keep a few extra crafting materials on hand if you plan to craft other Human Spirits later.
  • If Volcanusmon’s shop isn’t available yet, push the story a bit further into the Factorial Area.

Why Unlocking Lobomon is Important?

Lobomon stands out not just for nostalgia, but for utility. Its balanced stats and Hybrid nature allow it to fit smoothly into different team builds. Early access to this Digimon can give your party a noticeable boost against upcoming boss encounters.
