The More Spores for Hoppip event is the first limited-time event in Pokémon Pokopia, and it introduces three Pokémon that you cannot find in the game outside of this window. Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff are only available during this event, so getting started quickly matters. The core loop involves visiting Dream Islands to collect Cotton Spores, exchanging them for picnic-themed furniture, and then building specific habitats to attract the event Pokémon. Here is everything you need to know.

Important: Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff cannot be encountered outside of this event window, making it essential for Pokédex completionists. Additionally, Pokémon do not evolve in Pokémon Pokopia, meaning you need to befriend each of the three separately through their own habitats.
How to Start the More Spores for Hoppip Event
Before you can participate, you need to have rebuilt the Pokémon Center in the Withered Wasteland. Without this, the event will not trigger for you.

Once the event is active, you will receive a notification that a Pokémon is the “talk of the town.” Head to the Pokémon Center in the Withered Wasteland and you will notice it is decorated with flowers. Hoppip will be floating nearby outside. Speak to Hoppip to officially start the event and get it added to your Pokédex.
After your first conversation, Hoppip explains that it is missing its cotton spores. From this point, it moves inside the Pokémon Center and sets up its event shop at the counter.
How to Get Cotton Spores
Cotton Spores only appear on Dream Islands during the More Spores for Hoppip event. You cannot find them anywhere else in Pokémon Pokopia.

To visit a Dream Island, give any doll to Drifloon. The type of doll you use determines which Dream Island you visit, but Cotton Spores appear on every Dream Island as long as the event is active.
Tips for collecting Cotton Spores efficiently:
- You can only visit one Dream Island per day, but you can return to that same island as many times as you want during the same day. You do not need to collect everything in a single visit.
- Cotton Spores appear all over Dream Islands, including on hilltops, mountains, inside caves, and underground. Check everywhere.
- Hold Y to collect clusters of items at once rather than picking them up individually.
- Cotton Spores do not respawn once collected on a given day. If you want more, you will need to wait for the next day and visit a Dream Island again.
- One player reported finding 72 Cotton Spores on their first visit and 63 on the second, so expect a reasonable haul each day.
Time travelling: The event is date-coded to the Nintendo Switch 2 internal clock. Players who adjust their system clock can access the event early or extend their collection window. There are no reported penalties for time travelling to or from the event dates.
How to Use Cotton Spores: The Event Shop
Once you have collected enough Cotton Spores, return to Hoppip at the Pokémon Center in the Withered Wasteland. All available event items are displayed at the counter. You can purchase every item multiple times throughout the event, so there is no need to hold back.
| Item | Cost (Cotton Spore Clusters) |
| Dandy Flower Seeds (x5 bags per purchase) | 5 Clusters |
| Flower Backpack | 5 Clusters |
| Flower Garland (x10 per purchase) | 5 Clusters |
| Hoppip Water Bottle | 5 Clusters |
| Juice Trio | 5 Clusters |
| Lunch Box | 5 Clusters |
| Flower Cushion | 10 Clusters |
| Flower Table | 10 Clusters |
| Flowery Table Setting | 10 Clusters |
| Picnic Blanket | 15 Clusters |
Note: The Flower Backpack is a decoration item only and cannot replace Ditto’s regular backpack as a cosmetic.
How to Attract Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff: Event Habitats
Use the items you purchase from Hoppip to build three event-exclusive habitats. Each habitat attracts specific Pokémon, so you will need to build more than one if you want to befriend the full trio.
| Habitat | Items Required | Pokémon Attracted |
| Yellow Carpet | 4x Dandy Flowers (2×2 grid) | Hoppip (Common), Skiploom (Rare), Jumpluff (Very Rare) |
| Field-Trip Friends | 1x Flower Backpack, 1x Lunch Box, 1x Hoppip Water Bottle (2×2 grid) | Skiploom only |
| Dandelion Lunchtime | 1x Dandy Flowers, 1x Flower Cushion, 1x Flowery Table Setting, 1x Lunch Box (2×2 grid) | Jumpluff only |
Habitat Notes

Yellow Carpet is the most versatile habitat, as it can attract all three event Pokémon. However, Skiploom spawns as rare and Jumpluff as very rare in this setup, so it may take some time.
Field-Trip Friends exclusively attracts Skiploom, making it a more reliable option if you want to target that specific Pokémon without waiting on the Yellow Carpet RNG.
Dandelion Lunchtime exclusively attracts Jumpluff and increases the odds of it appearing compared to waiting on the Yellow Carpet habitat alone. Even so, Jumpluff may still take some time to show up.
Flower Garlands connect automatically when placed next to each other, which is a useful detail if you are planning your layout.
